A Big Decision Before Break

On the button, Mike "GoLeafsGoEh" Leah got it started with a raise to 25,000. In the small blind, Tony Bueti reraised, bumping it up to 60,000. Not to be outdone, big blind Casey Jarzabek moved all in for a total of 224,000. Leah quickly folded, but Bueti went deep into the tank. As the time clock beeped for break, Bueti still needed a few more minutes to make his decision.

"If I didn't go out in my last tournament with this hand, I would call," lamented Bueti. With that, he tossed his cards into the muck, announcing, "I had pocket jacks."

"You folded pocket jacks?!" asked Jarzabek. When Bueti confirmed, Jarzabek opened up his own hand: {A-Clubs} {8-Hearts}. After that big move, Jarzabek has improved his own chip count up to 365,000.

David Fox Eliminated in 13th Place ($10,092)

David Fox - 13th Place
David Fox - 13th Place
Before the flop, Frank Vizza four-bet all in against David Fox. Fox made the call, putting his own tournament life in jeopardy.

Showdown:
Vizza: {6-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}
Fox: {A-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}

With the all-in player standing to await his fate, the dealer ran out the community cards: {2-Spades} {7-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}. Finding no help, the dangerous David Fox becomes our 13th-place finisher.

Tom Sheets Eliminated in 14th Place ($10,092)

Tom Sheets - 14th Place
Tom Sheets - 14th Place
Under the gun, Alex Bolotin came in with a raise to 33,000. Next door, John Nixon reraised all in. When the betting came around to Tom Sheets, he called off his last 89,500 chips, putting himself at risk of elimination. That was enough to get Bolotin to fold what he would later say was {6-?} {7-?}. With the betting closed, the hands were turned up.

Showdown:
Nixon: {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds}
Sheets: {K-Clubs} {J-Clubs}

The board was a big dry desert, coming {5-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {5-Clubs}. Nixon's ace-high was the top hand, and he collected all of his opponent's chips. He is all the way up to 250,000, ousting Tom Sheets in 14th place.

Mike Sica Eliminated in 15th Place ($10,092)

Mike Sica - 15th Place

Michael "Michnak" Michnik raised from the cutoff seat to 28,000. Mike Sica was next to act and moved all in over the top of the raise for about 195,000 total. Everyone folded back around to Michnik and he made the call.

Showdown:
Michnik: {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}
Sica: {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs}

The flop stayed clean for Michnik when it came down {7-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {2-Clubs}. The turn brought the {J-Diamonds}, but Sica still needed help on the river. The river was the {4-Spades} and Michnik let out a big sigh of relief as his queens held up against the two overcards.

After counting down the chips, Michnik held a slight edge by about 15,000 chips. Sica went out in 15th place.

Bueti All In and Ahead

First into the pot from the small blind, Tony Bueti moved all in for 113,500. Casey Jarzabek was in the big blind, and he opted to make the call, looking Bueti up for his tournament life.

Showdown:
Bueti: {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}
Jarzabek: {A-Spades} {3-Hearts}

Bueti was in fine shape to double up. He did just that when the board ran {2-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {Q-Spades} {7-Spades}. His queens up was the winner, moving him up to 240,000, right on par with Jarzabek's stack now.

Nixon Moving Chips

John Nixon had about 170,000 chips left, and they all went into the middle preflop holding {A-Diamonds} {J-Spades}. Unfortunately for him, Michael Michnik looked down at {A-Spades} {K-Hearts} and made the call, putting himself all in for about 130,000 total.

Board: {8-Spades} {6-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {5-Diamonds}.

Michnik's kicker held up, and he earned a huge double-up to 260,000, leaving his opponent with just 37,000.

On the next hand, Nixon moved all in with {K-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} and got action from Jason Young, who turned over {A-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}. This time though, Nixon managed to connect with the board and outdraw Young. He has gotten his own double-up, back to 88,000, now essentially even with Young.

Larry Vance Eliminated in 16th Place ($8,074)

Larry Vance - 16th Place
Larry Vance - 16th Place
Under the gun, Larry Vance opened with a raise to 60,000. A few seats over, Alex Bolotin put in a reraise, making it 160,000 total. Vance made the call, leaving himself just 15,000 in funny money behind.

As the dealer was about to spread the flop, Bolotin went ahead and bet 15,000 out of turn. The first three community cards showed up {9-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}. Vance obliged with the rest of his chips, now at risk of elimination.

Showdown:
Vance: {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}
Bolotin: {A-Clubs} {A-Hearts}

The turn and river came {10-Spades} and {10-Diamonds}, and Bolotin's aces held. He delivered the final blow to Vance, moving up to 520,000 in the process. After the hand, an outwardly dejected Vance walked over to the feature table area and sat quietly all by himself, staring blankly at the time clock. He becomes our 16th-place finisher.

Chartier's Tens Hold

Sam Chartier raised to 120,000 and left himself with about 15,000 chips before John Nixon reraised all in. Action folded back around to Chartier and he made the call with pocket tens. Nixon held {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {K-Spades} {J-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {5-Hearts}, keeping Chartier's tens in the lead and giving him the double-up.
