Frangos Calls the Clock... on Himself

Alex Nepomnyaschiy

Nick Frangos raised up the action to kick things off from middle position. He made it 1,250 to go and was called by Alex "Jedi" Nepomnyaschiy in the small blind and the big blind. The three players would take a flop of {Q-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}.

Nepomnyaschiy checked, as did the big blind. Frangos continued with a bet of 2,625. Nepomnyaschiy made the call while the big blind ducked out of the way.

The turn brought the {6-Spades} and Nepomnyaschiy checked. Frangos let another bullet go and made it 5,000. As soon as Frangos' bet hit the felt, Nepomnyaschiy announced "all in." Frangos stayed calm while he thought about the hand and studied Nepomnyaschiy.

After a couple of minutes went by, Frangos began to look disturbed by the bet. He stayed in the tank for another couple minutes before he called for the clock on himself. "Sorry guys, but I'll sit here all day," he said.

Frangos tanked for the remainder of the one-minute clock and folded with just about three seconds left. Nepomnyaschiy showed Frangos the {8-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} for a turned two pair.

Frangos is down to 9,500 chips.
