Lee Rivered

A player moved all in from mid-late position for 10,600 and Doug Lee called from the big blind with {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. His opponent held the {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. The board ran out {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Lee doubled the player up, losing about 10% of his stack in the process.

Hoivold Hurting

Andreas Hoivold
Andreas Hoivold
It seemingly has not been a good day for Andreas Hoivold. He was shaking his head and talking to himself after being rivered in a recent pot. Hoivold bet 6,000 on the tun of a {3-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {j-Spades} {2-Hearts}. His out-of-position opponent called the bet after some thought.

The river was the {K-Clubs} and drew an immediate bet of 10,000 from the out-of-position player. Hoivold seemed frustrated by both the card and the bet but couldn't bring himself to fold. He called and was shown the nuts, {Q-Clubs} {10-Clubs}. Hoivold flung his cards into the muck in disgust, his chip count slipping to about 15,000.

Burkholder Raids Parker

On a board of {J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, Layne Flack checked before Brock Parker fired 4,500. Steven Burkholder called and the next player folded before action got back to Flack. He folded as well, leaving Parker and Burkholder in the hand.

After the {7-Diamonds} fell on the river, Parker checked. Burkholder paused for a few moments and then checked behind. Parker tabled the {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for sevens and threes, but Burkholder beat him with the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for tens and sevens.

Break Time

Opponent Fills Up on Yeh

On the flop of {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, the first player fired 3,000 and the next player folded. Anthony Yeh made the call to close the flop action and the two went to the turn where the {7-Diamonds} paired the board.

The first player checked and Yeh fired 4,600. He was called. The river was the {10-Diamonds} and both players checked. Yeh couldn't beat his opponent's {10-Hearts}{8-Spades} and mucked his hand, slipping back to 46,500 chips.

Madsen Back in Business

Jeff Madsen faced a decision on the river of a {K-Clubs} {3-Spades} {5-Spades} {2-Clubs} {8-Spades}. His lone opponent bet 20,500, enough to put Madsen all in. He thought the hand through for several moments before calling.

"Good call," his opponent said, turning up an airball {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}. Madsen showed {5-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} for a set of fives, good to rake a pot worth roughly 75,000 chips.

Andrew Lichtenberger lost that one
Andrew Lichtenberger raised from under the gun to 1,725. Eric Froehlich called on the button and the two took a flop of {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Lichtenberger fired a continuation bet of 3,200 and Froehlich called.

The turn was the {J-Hearts} and Lichtenberger checked. Froehlich checked behind and then the {K-Clubs} hit the river. Lichtenberger checked and Froehlich bet 6,300. Lichtenberger called, but mucked when Froehlich turned up the {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} for broadway. He moved up to 50,000 while Lichtenberger dropped to 53,000.
