LaGarde Takes a Late Hit; Albiges Benoit Eliminated in 17th Place ($15,697)

Albiges Benoit - 17th Place
Albiges Benoit - 17th Place
Matt LaGarde raised to 15,000 in early position, and Albiges Benoit reraised all in for 55,000 behind him. Nashaat "Tony" Antonious flat-called the all-in from the big blind, leaving 93,000 behind. LaGarde re-shoved the rest of his stack and Antonious again made the call.

LaGarde showed {10-Hearts} {10-Clubs} while Benoit showed {8-Clubs} {8-Spades} and Antonious tabled {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs}.

LaGarde was still ahead after the flop of {J-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} and in good shape after the {5-Hearts} hit the turn, but lost the pot when Antonious caught the {K-Hearts} on the river.

The hand knocked Benoit out in 17th place on the last hand of the night and left LaGarde with just 100,000. Antonious will have 362,000 when we return tomorrow.
