Ilich Finds a Sick Flop

Drazen Ilich
Drazen Ilich
Drazen Ilich opened the pot with a raise to 300 and was called by Jeremy Byrum in middle position and Daniel Thomas in the big blind. Three handed then, the flop brought out {K-Hearts} {2-Spades} {2-Clubs}. All three men checked.

The turn card came the {6-Hearts}. Thomas led out with a bet of 600, and both of his opponents called to see the river card.

It was the {K-Diamonds}. Thomas slowed back down, checking the action over. Ilich wasn't having any of that passive play; he overbet the pot slightly, flicking out 3,000 chips sloppily. Byrum shot Ilich a glance, furrowed his eyebrows and then made the call. Thomas released his hand.

Ilich opened up his hole cards, showing {2-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} for the quad deuces. Not surprisingly, Byrum couldn't beat it, and the pot went to Ilich. After that hand, he has chipped his way up to 32,000, leaving Byrum with just over 8,000.
