Where's Kurt?

Kurt Scheer's chip stack was in complete disarray, so the floor staff enlisted the help of an off-duty dealer to help neatly stack his chips for him. Shortly thereafter, Scheer intentionally exposed one of his hole cards out of turn, and he was given a one-orbit penalty for the foul.

Christopher Doubles

Ben Thomas raised to 16,000 from middle position and action folded over to Ken Christopher in the small blind. He opted to move all in for 67,500 total. In the big blind, Richard Kirsch went into the tank after checking his hole cards.

"Ahh, I was gonna do that!" Kirsch proclaimed. "All right, I fold, I fold."

With action now back on Thomas, he went into the tank as well. He made a few turns to check out the tournament clock and then made the call. Thomas held pocket eights, {8-Hearts} {8-Spades}. Christopher held {A-Spades} {K-Spades}.

"I folded pocket jacks," said Kirsch.

The flop came down {Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {3-Hearts}, giving Thomas outs to a flush to end it and further putting him in the lead. The turn brought the {A-Clubs} and just like that, Christopher took the lead. He still needed to dodge a lot of outs on the river though.

The river came the {2-Clubs} and that was it. Christopher was able to earn the double and has around 140,000. Thomas now has 100,000.

Thomas Folds Jacks

From early position, Ben Thomas raised to 17,000. Action folded all the way around to Kenny Milam in the big blind and he reraised to 38,000. Thomas made the call.

The flop came down {9-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {3-Clubs} and Milam immediately moved all in. Thomas went into the tank for a few minutes. He stood from his chair and picked his hand up from the table and shuffled the two cards back and forth. Finally, he folded revealing two jacks. Milam showed pocket queens.

Ben Thomas Eliminated in 17th Place ($13,982)

From under the gun, Justin "LockdownTex" Allen raised to 11,000. Action folded around the table to big blind Ben Thomas and he announced that he was all in. Allen quickly called.

Showdown
Allen: {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}
Thomas: {K-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Hearts} {3-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {6-Clubs}, failing to improve Thomas' hand and he was eliminated in 17th place, earning nearly $14,000. We're now down to 16 players.

Inaction

Well, we're at a loss for action here in the first 20 minutes of the level, so we'll relay the most exciting thing that has happened so far.

Opening the pot from the button, Steven McKoy raised to 12,500. Next to act, Suju Abraham announced that he was all in, sliding out his remaining 63,000 chips. McKoy would go into the tank for more than a minute before prodding, "I have king high. Is that good?" After another moment, he let his hand go. Abraham showed his {Q-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} as he raked in a chunk of free chips.

Steven McKoy was given a verbal warning following the fold for disclosing the contents of his hand.

See? Isn't that exciting?
