Williams and England Clash

Level 18 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

David Williams and Brian England are new arrivals to Table 33 and already they've begun to clash. England raised the cutoff to 9,300 and was called by Williams in the big blind. Williams check-called another 8,500 on a paired flop, {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Both players checked the {6-Spades} turn. When the river came {k-Hearts}, Williams checked and called another 12,500, saying that he thought he had been rivered.

"Nope," replied England. "I'm playing the board." He pitched his cards into the muck, allowing Williams to open {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and collect the pot. Williams is up to about 225,000, while England is down to about 310,000.
