Roppolo Takes a Hit

We picked up the action on the flop as the dealer rolled out {J-Spades} {6-Spades} {5-Spades}. Daniel Cohen checked, then called a bet from his lone opponent, Joseph Roppolo.

That brought them to the {4-Clubs} turn, and Roppolo bet 45,000 this time. Cohen check-called again, and the {K-Clubs} filled out the board on fifth street. Cohen checked again, and this time Roppolo made a healthier bet of 130,000. Surprisingly, Cohen check-raised all in for 215,000, and Roppolo sunk in his chair.

"Augh! You flopped it..." he said, trailing off. "I call."

Cohen had indeed flopped it, tabling his {K-Spades} {Q-Spades} to take down that pot. Roppolo has slipped back to 860,000 courtesy of that big pot.
