Ryan Julius leading after Day 1
Ryan Julius leading after Day 1

Welcome back for Day 2 of the first $10,000 Regional Championship event of this season's World Series of Poker Circuit tour. A field of 226 players came out to the event that began yesterday and 114 of them moved on to Day 2. Leading them all was Ryan Julius with 265,000 chips. He was the only player to amass over 200,000 chips. The next player is Jonathan Tamayo with 186,300.

Some of the other names still remaining are Bernard Lee, Shannon Shorr, Vanessa Selbst, David Paredes, Dave "Doc" Sands, Chad Brown, Jason Mercier, Justin Smith and Brandon Adams. The player who won the Main Event here in Hammond was Kurt Jewell and he had a solid day on the felt as well, wrapping up with 58,000 chips after coming in nice and late so he could get some extra rest after playing until 4:30 a.m. the night before.

Play kicks off today at 1:00 p.m. and it should be a great day of poker. Be sure to stick right here on PokerNews for all the level recaps to update you on the action.
