Lutes Gaining Ground

Farid Nasserazad raised to 65,000 on the button and Travis Lutes made it 295,000 to go from the big blind. Nasserazad called and the flop came down {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{7-Spades}.

Lutes went all in for roughly 1.1 million and sent Nasserazad deep into the tank. After a few minutes Nasserazad gave it up, surrendering the pot.

"You can always fold if you're beat," said Lutes. With that pot, Lutes is back up to about 2 million.

Lutes Doubles

Travis Lutes raised to 100,000 on the button and Farid Nasserazad called from the big blind. When the flop came {7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, Nasserazad checked, Lutes bet 130,000 and Nasserazad called.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and Nasserazad bet out 270,000. Lutes moved all in for 469,000 total and Nasserazad called.

Lutes: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}
Nasserazad: {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Lutes was ahead and needed to dodge a jack or heart in the river to stay alive and double. That is just what he did as the {6-Diamonds} fell. Lutes doubled to 1.406 million while Nasserazad dropped to 4.204 million.

Nasserazad Widens Lead

Just before the break, Travis Lutes raised to 82,000 on the button and Farid Nasserazad called from the big blind. Both players checked the {6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and watched the {8-Clubs} peel off on the turn. Nasserazad check-called Lutes's 70,000 bet and then led out for 80,000 when the {J-Hearts} appeared on the river. Lutes mucked and Nasserazad took down the pot. He is up to 4.778 million while Lutes dropped to under a million with 832,000.

Slooooow

Action has slowed to a crawl, especially given the action early on. The hands that do make it to the flop are uneventful, but it is only a matter of time before these two start pushing their chips around.
