Wommack's Queens Run Into Kings

Farid Nasserazad raised to 15,000 from middle position only to have Mike Wommack move all in for around 50,000. Jerry Monroe was in the big blind and moved all in himself for about 75,000. Nasserazad got out of the way and the remaining players revealed their cards:

Monroe: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Wommack: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

The board ran out {A-Spades}{8-Spades}{A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Wommack was sent packing in 32nd place.

Hinson Doubles Through Alon

Action folded to the small blind and Yair Alon limped. Dale Hinson checked his option in the big blind and the two saw a flop of {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. Alon bet 10,000, Hinson raised to 25,000, Alon moved all in, and Hinson called.

Alon: {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Hinson: {8-Spades}{3-Spades}

Hinson was ahead with his top pair but Alon had a flush draw and counterfeit outs. The {5-Spades} on the turn and {7-Hearts} on the river missed Alon and he dropped to 130,000. Hinson managed to double to 166,000.

Drewery On a Roll

With a board reading {K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, Daniel Howard bet 40,000 and Jeremy Drewery contemplated a call. After counting out some chips, Drewery announced that he was all in for 94,500 more. Howard called and showed {A-Spades}{J-Hearts} for a turned straight; however, Drewery revealed {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for the rivered flush. The pot brought Drewery up to around 310,000 while Howard dropped down to 160,000.

Walsh Crippled Then Eliminated

Yong Chen was all in preflop with {A-Spades}{3-Hearts} for about 60,000 against the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} of Dan Walsh. Chen was in serious trouble and needed help, which was delivered on the {6-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop. The {J-Clubs} turn changed nothing and neither did the {2-Clubs} on the river. Chen doubled to 140,000 while Walsh was knocked down to just 40,000.

Shortly thereafter, Jason Cluxton raised to 18,000 from middle position and Walsh moved all in for 38,500. Action folded back to Cluxton who made the call:

Cluxton: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Walsh: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

Once again Walsh was in a dominating position but the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} flop gave Cluxton a royal flush draw! The {5-Clubs} on the turn left Cluxton drawing to an ace, ten or any diamond. The dealer burned and put out the {7-Diamonds}, completing the flush. Cluxton won the pot and is up to 250,000 while Walsh was eliminated from the tournament.

Nasserazad Takes a Hit

John Holley was in middle position and raised to 14,000. Only Farid Nasserazad on the button made the call and the two saw a flop of {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. Both players checked to the {K-Clubs} on the turn and Holley led out with a bet of 16,5000.

Nasserazad called and Holley checked in the dark as the {7-Diamonds} hit the river. Nasserazad fired out 39,000 and Holley quickly called showing {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}. Nasserazad simply mucked as he dropped down to around 170,000. Holley has chipped up to around 250,000.
