It's Ladies' Day

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

The board shows 446 runners have thus far turned up for this first Day 1 flight, and at least 18 of them are women. We recognize Donna Jetter from her 7th-place run at the WSOP-C Harvey's Lake Tahoe a couple months ago. We also spotted Traci Brown, runner up in the Main Event at Choctaw. By virtue of that finish, Brown also locked up the title of Caino Champion for that stop, and that makes her the first lady to qualify for the season-ending National Championship in May.

We also see Jena Delk over there on the far side of the room, but she's a bit overshadowed by June Amer. You might not know Amer's name, but she's done quite a bit to prove herself here in West Palm Beach this week. Amer took down Event #7, the $550 NLHE event that finished up yesterday. That event was a record-setter, drawing a field of 664 runners to make it the largest $500+ buy-in event the WSOP-C has seen this season. She collected more than $65,000 for that win yesterday, and she's looking to parlay that prize money into another big win here in the Main.
