The turn brought the and Lockhart check-called Gates' bet of 2,000 very quickly before the fell on the river. Lockhart checked and Gates bet 5,000. Lockhart thought for a half a minute and then folded.
Gates won the pot without showdown and improved to 22,000 in chips, back over the starting amount.
From the cutoff seat, Kristy Arnett opened with a raise to 250, two and a half times the big blind. Michael Traylor, who placed third in the World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event at Harvey's Lake Tahoe for $38,743, made the call from the big blind.
