Easley Looking for Even More Success in Choctaw

Seneca Easley, who won the 2010/2011 WSOP Regional Championship - Harrah's Rincon $1,600 Main Event for $70,384, has a special connection to Choctaw. Earlier this year, Seneca finished runner-up to AP Phahurat in the 2012 Chad Brown Challenge $2,000 Main Event right here at the Choctaw Resort in Durant, Oklahoma. That tournament drew 258 players including the likes of Chad Brown, Dennis Phillips, Layne Flack, Gavin Smith and Robert Williamson.

Easley is back in Choctaw looking for even more success on the World Series of Poker Circuit, but things haven't been going well. Easley played Day 1a and busted fairly early, and while he's last longer here on Day 1b, his stack is only going down.

In a recent hand, Easley opened for 1,600 from middle position and received a call from Kunal Patel right behind. The rest of the field got out of the way and it was heads-up action to the {5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{A-Clubs} flop. Easley checked and then quickly called when Patel bet 1,800, which brought about the {A-Spades} turn.

Again Easley check-called a bet, this time 3,800, and then he turned right around and led out for 3,400 on the {4-Clubs} river. Patel seemed confused by the maneuver but made the call nonetheless. "King," Easley said, prompting Patel to show {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for the win.
