Day 1b on the Horizon
Day 1b of the 2012-13 World Series of Poker Circuit Event - Choctaw Durant is set to start in the next 20 minutes. The board currently says that there are a total of 716 entrants for both Days 1a and 1b. We expect that number to rise and perhaps flirt with last year's record field of 978 players.
Of the 466 players who played on Day 1a, only 64 survived. The overnight chip leader is Drazen Ilich, who bagged 650,000. The only other player to cross the 400,000-chip threshold was "Cowboy" John Land, who bagged 480,000.
The plan is to play 17 levels today. The first 15 will be 40 minutes long, and the final two will escalate to 60 minutes. We expect to start Day 2 very close to the money bubble.
