Todd's Tens Take Smith

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Nancy Todd opened to 2,600 from under the gun and it folded around to Mark "Pegasus" Smith who called from the big blind.

Smith checked in the dark and the flop was {2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Todd bet 3,000 only to have Smith come over the top for 8,000. Todd stuck around.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} but before it fell Smith checked in the dark once more. Todd checked behind this time and the {J-Hearts} hit fifth street. Both checked once again.

"Threes," said Smith, showing {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Todd, however, tabled {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a pair of tens and took down the pot.

Ms. Ruby Hits the Rail

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

We've recently noticed a vacancy in the tournament field as Ruby Timlin's seat is now empty. Timlin has been known to roll over the sit-n-go's here at the WSOP Circuit Harrah's Tunica as the week has gone on. Curious to read more about Timlin's exploits? Check out WSOP Media Coordinator Alan Fowler's blog on the lady they call Ms. Ruby.

Martin Missing Some

Level 13 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

We got to the table to see cards and chips strewn on the table after David Martin lost a pot to another player. We're unsure of the action, but the shorter stacked player was all in holding {J-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and the board ran out {5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and Martin was unable to improve enough to beat the jacks. He was forced to ship 26,000 over to his opponent, dropping his stack to about 118,000.

Todd Crushing

Level 13 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

Three players including Nancy Todd took a flop of {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}. The first player checked to Todd who shot out 3,600. The button called and the first player folded.

Action slowed down on fourth street when the {10-Diamonds} fell as both players checked their option. The {4-Spades} completed the board and two hands tapped the table once more. Todd tabled {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a turned pair of tens and her opponent mucked, awarding her the pot. She's currently sitting on about 150,000.
