Richard Decowski, a World War II veteran in his nineties, is currently one of the chip leaders here in the Main Event. A native of Chicago, Decowkski earned his entry into the tournament grinding $1-$2 no limit hold'em.
With the Chicago Bears playing a big game on Monday Night Football this week, we asked Decowski if he was a fan.
"No," he answered quickly. "I hate them."
The table burst into laughter.
We'll keep our eyes on the veteran as he battles this tough field.

Hiren "Sunny" Patel opened to 1,025 from early position, and the action folded to a player in middle position who announced, "Make it three [thousand]."
The action folded back to Patel who four-bet jammed for effectively 9,000 or so, and his opponent immediately called.
