Grippo was correct, and the bet was ruled a string bet, forcing Finucane to take back the raise and just call. Then, the landed on the river, and Finucane instantly shoved. Grippo snapped with the for top two pair. Finucane held the and lost.
With that pot, Grippo moved to nearly 1.7 million in chips.
Action folded to the player on the button, and he raised to 31,000. Ralph Massey reraised from the small blind to 70,000, then the button came back over the top with a reraise to 151,000. After a minute in the tank, Massey moved all in and covered the button's remaining 350,000 or so. The button folded, and Massey won the pot.
