We found two-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Carter Phillips heads up in a pot where the flop read . Phillips came out swinging by betting 1,450 and his opponent announced a call.
The turn was the and Phillips slid out 2,000. His opponent made it 5,000 to go and Phillips tanked for well over a minute. Eventually he decided to give up his cards and his opponent dragged in the chips. Phillips is sitting around 10,500 after this loss.
Nancy Birnbaum checked with the board reading . Her opponent tossed out what looked like 3,100, and Birnbaum called.
The completed the board, and Birnbaum checked again. Her opponent checked behind, and the two-time World Series of Poker Circuit gold ring winner flipped over for two pair.
David Nicholson opened to 500 in middle position, a player on his direct left called, and David Inselberg called on the button. The dealer fanned , and Nicholson continued for 700. Only Inselberg called.

Ebony Kenney opened to 400 from early position and received a call from a middle position player and Carter Phillips from the small blind.

Kenney shot out 1,075 only to have her opponent come over the top for 2,400. Kenney flat called.
The board finished with the and the action went check-check. Kenney's opponent rolled up for tens and Kenney mucked her hand. She's now sitting on about 12,000.
While on break, we noticed that 1999 World Series of Poker bracelet winner John Esposito is in the field. Esposito bested Mimi Tran heads up in the $2,500 Limit Hold'em event to earn $219,225. Other notables who reached the final table of that event were David Chiu, Sam Grizzle, Eric Shapiro, and TJ Cloutier.
Esposito's largest live cash to date came in the 2011 WSOP Main Event. "Espo" busted in 32nd place, and took home $242,636 for his efforts. He has over $2.7 million in career tournament earnings.
