Buffer Came Ready To Rumble

Bruce Buffer has been in the room for less than an hour and he's already breached the 30,000 chip mark.

We caught up to him on a {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop with over 2,000 in the pot already. Buffer bet 1,500 and was called by the player on the button.

The {A-Spades} fell on the turn and both players checked.

The river was the {4-Hearts} and this time Buffer came out firing for 3,000. The player on the button eventually folded and Buffer raked in the pot.

"You're lucky you didn't call that one," Buffer said after the hand. "That was a very sick flop. Very sick."

With that, Buffer moved up to 31,000 in chips.

Baldwin Busto

We didn't see how it happened, but when we got to the table Eric Baldwin was already crippled. Under the gun + 1, Baldwin moved all in for his last 1,050.

"That's all that I got," Baldwin said.

The player on the button then raised to 4,000, everyone else folded and the cards were turned on their backs.

Baldwin: {Q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Button: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

"There's a four coming, I feel it," a player at the table said.

The board though rolled out {K-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} with no four to save Baldwin.

He will be able to reenter on the second flight though if he so chooses.

Buffer's On Fire

Bruce Buffer is crushing after missing the first part of the day. He's now up to 38,000 after taking a huge pot off Robert Cheong.

We caught up to the action the river with the board reading {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Butter was on the button and he put out a bet of 7,500 into the already 16,000 chip pot. Cheong tanked for a while and folded, awarding Buffer the monstrous pot.

After the hand, Cheong dropped to 21,500 while Buffer moved up to 38,000 chips.

Vornicu Making Moves

Valentin Vornicu is a name that you might not know unless you've been following the WSOP Circuit. Vornicu has two rings to his name, and also a seat at the National Championship this year after winning the Player of the Series at Harrah's Rincon last month. Well Vornicu is here in LA for the Main Event, and we just caught a glimpse into what makes this young player so tough.

There was 2,000 in the middle on a flop that read {7-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. When we got there, Vornicu had moved all in for about 9,000 after his opponent had fired out 2,200. His opponent tanked for about a minute before folding, and Vornicu showed {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for absolute air. His opponent simply gave a nod as Vornicu collected the pot to get back up to 13,500.

Jejelowo With the Early Chip Lead

It's quite possible that AJ Jejelowo is already tournament chip leader after taking in another recent pot from Ben Yu.

With the board reading {5-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and 6,300 in the pot already, Yu checked. Action was on Jejelowo who took his time before betting 4,000. Yu folded and that pot pushed Jejelowo to nearly 50,000 in chips.
