Kinney Surges

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
James Kinney moving toward the top of the charts
James Kinney moving toward the top of the charts

James Kinney came in for a raise to 100,000 from middle position. Raymond Weaved defended his big blind, then check-called another 100,000 from Kinney on a flop of {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

The turn was the {j-Hearts}, and Weaver took the lead in the hand, tossing out two blue T100,000 chips. Kinney quickly called.

The river was the {2-Spades}, and Weaver tossed out three more T100,000 chips. Kinney instantly called.

Weaver showed {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for jacks and tens, but they were no good against Kinney's {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for trip tens.

The very next hand, Kinney opened to 100,000 again. John Bowman three-bet to 225,000 on his direct left, and the action folded to Kinney, who called again.

"Check dark," Kinney said.

The dealer fanned {7-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, and Bowman fired 175,000. Kinney quickly called.

The turn was the {9-Hearts}, Kinney checked again, and Bowman tossed out 275,000. Without counting them, Kinney reached for a random stack of blue T100,000 chips and check-raised to 700,000. Bowman mulled the decision over for 30 seconds or so, then folded.

Kinney is now the chip leader with nearly four million chips.

Weinman Cracks Henderson's Aces

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hugh Henderson raised to 125,000 from middle position, and it folded around to Daniel Weinman in the big blind who called. The flop came {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. Weinman checked, Henderson bet 150,000, and Weinman called. The turn then brought the {5-Diamonds} and once more Weinman checked. Henderson bet 200,000 this time, and Weinman was there with the call again.

The river brought the {7-Hearts} and checks from both players. Henderson showed {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}, but Weinman had {J-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for two pair and was delivered the pot.

Henderson is back down around the 1 million-chip mark now.

Two Hands and Full Counts

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hugh Henderson limped in on the button, George Zinaty raised to 225,000 out of the big blind, and Henderson made the call. The flop fell {8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, Zinaty checked, and Henderson moved all in for 800,000.

Zinaty folded {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} face up, prompting Henderson to show {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

The next hand, Daniel Weinman raised to 100,000 in early position, Zinaty called in the small blind, and James Kinney defended his big blind. The flop was {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}, and Zinaty led for 200,000. Both players called.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, Zitany led again - this time for 300,000, Kinney folded, and Weinman moved all in for effectively 830,000.

Zitany tank-folded.

Clubs Help Zinaty Keep Seat

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
George Zinaty
George Zinaty

Following a middle-position open to 100,000 by Kory Kilpatrick, George Zinaty reraised all in for 620,000 from a seat over. It folded back around to Daniel Weinman in the small blind who called Zinaty's push, and when the action got back to Kilpatrick he reraised all in for 855,000 and Weinman called once again.

The three players turned over their hands...

Weinman: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Kilpatrick: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Zinaty: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

Zinaty stood while the other two remained seated as the flop came {8-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{4-Spades}. "Put the ten of clubs out there," said Kilpatrick to the dealer. "Let's have a sweat."

The turn then brought the {2-Clubs} and all noted how Zinaty had picked up a flush draw. "Okay, that's enough," cracked Kilpatrick. "No more sweat, please."

Then came the river... the {9-Clubs}! "Yes!" cried Zinaty, who besides winning the main pot won a hug from his girlfriend, too.

Meanwhile, Kilpatrick survived by taking the small side pot, although is now down under 500,000.

Kilpatrick Doubles Back

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

After pocket kings failed Kory Kilpatrick in that three-way all-in just before, Kilpatrick was soon pushing all in with {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and getting called by Daniel Weinman who held {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

The flop came a provocative {3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{J-Clubs}, pairing Weinman's jack but giving Kilpatrick a flush draw. The turn was the {3-Hearts}, and Kilpatrick was down to his last card. The river then brought the {2-Clubs}, saving Kilpatrick with a club flush just as Zinaty had been similarly saved in the earlier hand.

Henderson check-called a 125,000-chip bet, and the turn brought the {2-Hearts}. Henderson checked, Kilpatrick fired another 200,000, and Henderson check-raised to what looked like 450,000.

Ace-King Over Ace-King Gives Weinman Big Double

Level 31 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Daniel Weinman opened for 120,000 from middle position, and when it folded around the table to James Kinney he reraised to 350,000 from the small blind. John Bowman folded the big blind, then after about a half-minute Weinman recollected his bet and pushed out a reraise to 860,000.

As the chips hit the felt, Kinney announced he was all in, and Weinman shrugged a little as he called with the last of his stack, putting himself all in for 2.25 million total.

Kinney: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Weinman: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

"I've got a bad feeling," said Weinman as he saw Kinney's clubs, perhaps mindful of the recent spate of club flushes we've seen in the last half-hour. Weinman even walked away from the table, and so didn't initially see the flop come {7-Spades}{10-Spades}{K-Spades}.

It was Kinney's turn to express concern, although he kept a wide grin as the turn brought the {A-Hearts}, leaving just the river card for him to fade in order to eliminate Weinman.

The dealer burned a card and delivered fifth street... the {5-Spades}! Yet another rivered flush, this one enabling Weinman to double up close to the chip lead while Kinney takes a tumble.

Kory Kilpatrick triples

Kory Kilpatrick open-shoved for 665,000 from under the gun. Daniel Weinman called on the button, and Hugh Henderson called in the big blind.

The two checked it down as the board ran out {2-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, and Kilpatrick ripped over {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for kings full of eights.

Weinman showed two sixes, and Henderson ace-queen.
