Parker Sends Barousse to the Rail; Three-Table Redraw Time

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Two-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Brock Parker opened for 8,000 from the cutoff and cleared the field to at-large qualifier Blake Barousse in the big blind. The man from Lafayette thought for about 20 seconds before moving all in for 106,500 and Parker, who first asked for a count, called.

Parker: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Barousse: {A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

It was a good call by Parker as he had Barousse dominated. The {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop opened up some chop options, as did the {10-Hearts} turn, but the {4-Diamonds} bricked on the river to give Parker the large pot.

Barousse's elimination in 25th place means that it's time to redraw to the final three table. We'll have that seat draw for you shortly.

Quads are Good

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Steve Hesse tossed out 8,500 on a flop of {5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades}, and Max Steinberg called. The turn was the {9-Hearts}, and Hesse slowed down, checking to Steinberg who fired out 11,500. Hesse called.

The river was the {k-Clubs}, and Hesse knuckled again. Steinberg fired out 32,500, Hesse slid out what appeared to be a min-raise, and Steinberg moved all in for 105,000. Hesse begrudgingly called.

Steinberg showed {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for quads, doubling to 255,000 chips, and Hesse was forced to flash the two aces he was holding. He dropped to 140,000.

"Krunk" Nearing 500K

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Valentin Vornicu was recently moved to Robert "Uncle Krunk" Panitch's table, and combined the two players have over 20 percent of the chips in play. They immediately tangled, and played a 200,000-chip pot.

After there was a raise and three-bet preflop, Vornicu led out for 19,000 on a flop of {10-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}. Panitch raised to 40,000, and Vornicu tank-called. The turn was the {6-Hearts}, both players checked, and the {7-Clubs} completed the board.

Vornicu checked, Panitch tossed out another 40,000, and Vornicu tanked for over two minutes before calling. Panitch showed {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for aces and jacks, and Vornicu sent his cards spiraling into the muck.

Barousse's Turn to Double Through MacKinnon

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Last level DJ MacKinnon doubled through Blake Barousse, and now the latter has just returned the favor.

It happened when action folded around to MacKinnon on the button and he made it 6,500 to go. Barousse, who was in the small blind, then moved all in for 50,000. MacKinnon thought for a bit and called.

MacKinnon: {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Barousse: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

MacKinnon seemed a bit surprise Barousse had such a big hand, but not at all surprised that it held up after the board ran out [3c5h3djspd].

"Krunk" Doubles Clinkscales Then Busts Bylicki

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Robert "Uncle Krunk" Panitch checked to Rex Clinkscales on a flop of {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. Clinkscales tossed out 3,500, and Panitch called. The turn was the {7-Clubs}, Panitch checked again, and Clinkscales fired another 11,000. Panitch moved all in for effectively 44,000, and Clinkscales snap-called.

Clinkscales: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Panitch: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Only an ace could eliminated Clinkscales, and he avoided the rail when the {k-Spades} completed the board.

The very next hand, Alex Bylicki opened to 6,000 in middle position. Panitch three-bet to 16,500 from the small blind, Bylicki moved all in, and Panitch snapped it off.

Bylicki: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Panitch: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

The aces were not cracked as the flop, turn, and river came {q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, and Bylicki was eliminated.

"Nice life, Krunk," Clinkscales joked after the hand.

Panitch could only laugh as he raked in the chips he had just lost.

Riess Finally Succumbs

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

At-large qualifier Ryan Riess has been nursing a short stack much of the day, and he managed to hold on thanks to a few doubles. With that said, Riess' run in the National Championship just came to an end courtesy of Choctaw Durant Casino Champion Andrew Robinson.

It happened when Riess shoved for 35,000 from the small blind after Robinson had opened. The latter called with the {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and was racing against the {A-Spades}{10-Hearts} of Riess. The {j-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop gave Riess a gutshot straight draw to go with his overs, but neither the {8-Clubs} turn nor {K-Hearts} river would help him.

Riess was eliminated in 27th place, meaning we're just two players away from the three-table redraw.

"Krunk" Back to 300K

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Alex Bylicki opened to 6,500 from late position, Robert "Uncle Krunk" Panitch called out of the blinds, and the dealer fanned {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{a-Spades}. Panitch check-called a 7,500-chip bet from Bylicki, and both players checked when the {2-Spades} turned.

Panitch checked a third time after the {a-Diamonds} completed the board, and Bylicki tanked before eventually checking behind. Panitch showed {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for trip aces, and was awarded the pot.

"Nice hand, Krunk," Bylicki told him.

Barousse Binks a Ten; Busts Reichard

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Just before break, Jason Mercier opened to 4,800 from under the gun, Josh Reichard three-bet jammed for 56,200 on his direct left, and Blake Barousse re-jammed for around 90,000 in the hijack seat. The action folded back to Mercier, who quickly folded.

Reichard: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Barousse: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Reichard was in great shape to double, and remained so as the flop fell {9-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. The {2-Hearts} on the turn was a brick as well, but the {10-Hearts} spike on the river, giving Barousse a set of tens.

He now sits with 145,000 chips, while Reichard is eliminated from the National Championship.
