Allan Hedin Eliminated in 3rd Place ($62,733)

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Allan Hedin- 3rd Place
Allan Hedin- 3rd Place

Allan Hedin came back from dinner with just 12 big blinds, and he had already shoved once without getting called. However, the second time he shoved all in for 555,000, Jonathan Taylor called him from the big blind as soon as he looked at his hand. When the cards were tabled, we could see why.

Hedin: {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Taylor: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Hedin was in a world of hurt, but the flop was as good as he could have asked for, coming {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. Hedin could now catch a club for the win, and the turn was black, but it was the {2-Spades}. Hedin needed a club and a club only, but the river was the {j-Diamonds}.

Hedin will have to settle for 3rd place, and the $62,733 that goes with it. Meanwhile, Kevin Eyster and Jonathan Taylor are now heads up, with virtually even stacks.

Eyster Takes Chip Lead

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Kevin Eyster has just taken down the first pot of significance in this heads up battle, and as a result, he has taken the lead.

Eyster opened the action to 100,000, and Jonathan Taylor raised to 230,000. Eyster called, and the flop came {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Both players checked, and the turn brought the {j-Spades}. Taylor fired out 180,000, and Eyster made the call.

The river was the {3-Spades}, and Taylor fired again, this time for 285,000. Eyster spent about 30 seconds in the tank before emerging with the call, and Taylor tabled {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for eight high. Eyster rolled over {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for two pair, and with that pot, he is now up to 4.72 million.

Eyster Cracks Five Million

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Slowly but surely, Kevin Eyster is widening his gap in this heads up battle, as he has just cracked the five million chip barrier.

In the last hand, Taylor raised to 100,000 on the button, and Eyster called. The flop came {k-Hearts}{a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, and Eyster check called a bet of 80,000. Both players checked the {2-Clubs} on the turn, and when the river came the {8-Clubs}, Eyster fired out 80,000. Taylor folded, giving the pot to Eyster.

Eyster Makes Great Call

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Jonathan Taylor made it 100,000 to go, and Kevin Eyster made the call. The flop came {6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades}, and Eyster check called a bet of 80,000. The turn brought the {9-Diamonds}, and once again, Eyster check called a bet, this time of 175,000.

The river brought the {k-Spades}, and Eyster checked one more time. Taylor cut out a hefty bet of 350,000, and stuck it in the middle. Eyster spent about a minute in the tank before making the call, and Taylor could only show {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a busted straight draw.

Eyster tabled {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for fourth pair on board, and it was good enough to take the huge pot. After that one, Eyster is approaching six million in chips.

Taylor Wins Biggest Pot Of Heads Up Play

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Jonathan Taylor raised it up to 100,000, and Kevin Eyster three bet it to 275,000. Taylor made the call, and the flop came {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}. Eyster checked to Taylor, who fired out 220,000. It was back on Eyster, and he grabbed a stack of chips worth 500,000 even, and stuck it in the middle. Taylor made the call, and the turn brought the {9-Hearts}.

Eyster checked again, and undeterred by the flop check raise, Taylor bet out 650,000. Eyster took just a few moments to fold, and Taylor collected his first big pot of heads up play to get back up to 3.2 million.

Taylor Doubles Through Eyster

Level 31 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Jonathan Taylor opened the action to 120,000, and Kevin Eyster three bet to 350,000. Taylor tanked for about 20 seconds before putting out a four bet to 580,000, and it was back to Eyster.

Eyster was in the tank for about 30 seconds, before he out out a full stack of blue T100,000 chips, and made it a five bet to 2.35 million! This was for virtually all of Taylor's stack, so he spent quite some time on the decision. After about 90 seconds, he announced all in, and Eyster made the call!

Eyster: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Taylor: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip to decide whether Taylor would double up, or if Eyster would win the title. The flop was safe for Taylor, coming {3-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}. The turn brought the {7-Clubs}, and Eyster picked up three more outs, as another seven would now work for him. But the river was the {4-Clubs}, and Taylor scored the double to 5.9 million, while Eyster falls to 2.3 million.
