Back to the Action

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

There is a technical issue with the live streaming final table, so the players are staying at their current table until then. The cards are once again in the air.

Isaac Kirchner Eliminated in 9th Place ($13,135)

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jonathan Taylor opened the action from under the gun +1 to 40,000. The next two players to act, Jerry Johnson and Allan Hedin, both called. It got to Isaac Kirchner in the cutoff, and he moved all in for his last 445,000.

Taylor and Johnson both got out of the way, but Hedin elected to make the call.

Hedin: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Kirchner: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

It was a coinflip for Kirchner's tournament life, and the flop was a disaster, coming {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. Kirchner was now looking for one of the two remaining sevens, but they never came, as it completed {9-Hearts} and {8-Diamonds}.

Kirchner will walk away with $13,135, while Hedin jumped up to 1.6 million.

Blazer Shoves on Taylor

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Action folded around to Jonathan Taylor in the hijack, and he made it 40,000 to go. Lawrence Blazer was the lone caller from the big blind, and the dealer fanned out a flop of {4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Blazer checked to Taylor, who fired out 32,000. Blazer responded by check raising all in for 377,000 total, and Taylor tanked for about 30 seconds before giving his hand up.

That drops Taylor to 1.8 million, while Blazer is now up to 480,000.

The turn came the {7-Clubs}, and Butler checked again. Eyster fired out 85,000 this time, and again, Butler tagged along.

Ashly Butler- 8th Place Finisher
Ashly Butler- 8th Place Finisher

Wow. Ashly Butler went from 2nd in chips to out in two hands. On the hand right after the one with Kevin Eyster, Rosie Paules raised it up to 40,000, and Butler called in the small blind.

The flop came down {j-Spades}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts}, and both players checked. The turn brought the {9-Spades}, and Butler checked to Paules, who fired out 75,000. Butler clicked it back with a min raise to 150,000, and it was back to Paules. She put in a three bet to 450,000, and Butler made the call to put the pot over 1 million.

The river came the {4-Diamonds}, and Butler checked to Paules. She quickly moved all in, and Butler called even quicker. Paules tabled {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for a flopped full house, and a dejected Butler mucked his hand.

Butler headed to the payout desk, while Paules is our new chip leader with 2.1 million.

Eyster Takes the Chip Lead

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Kevin Eyster raised it up to 50,000, and he got three callers: Jonathan Taylor on the button, Jerry Johnson in the small blind, and Allan Hedin in the big blind.

The flop came down {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, and it was checked through. The {10-Diamonds} hit the turn, and it was checked to Eyster, who bet out 70,000. Taylor and Hedin came along to see the {k-Diamonds} hit the river. It was checked to Eyster, and he laid out a massive bet of 325,000. Taylor got out of the way, but Hedin spent some time in the tank. He cut out the call, and after a minute of thinking, he slid it in.

Eyster tabled {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for the nut flush, and Hedin kicked his cards in. That pot dropped Hedin down to 1.05 million, while Eyster is now up to 2.45 million.
