Tryba Taken Out

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

Chris Tryba was part of a three way pot that saw a flop of {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. The small blind fired out 1,000, and Tryba made it 3,500 in the big blind. The other player in the pot called from the under the gun position, and the small blind got out of the way.

The turn was the {10-Hearts}, and it didn't take long for Tryba to slide out the rest of his chips, 8,525 in total. It represented about half of his opponents remaining chips, and after about 40 seconds of tanking he made the call.

"I have outs," Tryba said as he rolled over {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. He did has his opponent held {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}. Tryba would need a jack, nine, or eight to win the pot, but the river brought the {5-Hearts}. Tryba grabbed his stuff, wished the players at his table good luck, and quickly headed for the stairs.

Dandrea Gets Some Back

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante
Raymond Dandrea
Raymond Dandrea

It hasn't been the best day so far for Raymond Dandrea, as he has been hovering around 12,000 for most of the day. However, we just caught him take down a nice pot to get himself back to 17,000.

Dandrea opened the action in middle position with a raise to 500, and he got calls from the button, as well as both the blinds. The flop came down {4-Spades}{8-Clubs}{a-Spades}, and it was checked to Dandrea, who fired out 1,025. The button was the only caller, and the turn brought the {2-Diamonds}.

Dandrea slowed down this time and checked, giving the button the chance to fire out 1,700. Dandrea wasn't going anywhere, as he made the call and saw the {7-Hearts} hit the river. Both players checked, and Dandrea rolled over {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for top pair. His opponent tapped the table before mucking, and Dandrea scooped the pot to get some much needed chips.

Ting Gets Taken Down a Notch

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

The pot was limped around four ways preflop, including Ting Ho in the big blind. The flop came down {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, and the small blind led for 1,600. Ho called, and one of the limpers in early position made it 3,200 to go. Everyone else folded, including the original better, but Ho made the call.

The turn brought the {5-Spades}, and she checked to her opponent, who fired out 3,200 again. This was for about half his stack, and it didn't take long for Ho to put enough in the middle to put her opponent all in. He made the call, and the cards were tabled.

Ho: {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Opponent: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Ho's flopped two pair were well behind the straight of her opponent, and she would need some help on the river. That card was the {q-Hearts}, giving her no help, and securing the pot for her opponent.

Ho is still doing ok after that hand, as she was left with 13,000.

Reiss Busto

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

Ryan Reiss came into today with hopes of making his second final table here at the Lodge Casino, but he will have to wait till at least the next flight to accomplish that. Reiss was down from his starting stack the whole day, and while we didn't catch the hand that did him in, his seat has filled by another player.

Early Chip Leader Is...

Jeff Fielder
Jeff Fielder

Jeff Fielder. Who else would it be? This guy has been so on fire that he's practically burning the seat he is in. Fielder has crushed the Circuit recently, winning the Choctow Main Event in January, and following that up with a 6th place finish at Caesers Palace the next month.

Well it's early on here, but Fielder looks to be setting himself up for another Day 2 here in Colorado.
