Ross Lecavalier Leads the Way for Day 2!

Welcome back to the Lodge Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado! It is Day 2 of the World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event here, and after three Day 1 flights spread across two days, the remaining survivors will all be playing under one roof today. Leading the way is Ross Lecavalier, who bagged a whopping 211,700 from Day 1b. Following him we have Ki Nam (150,300), and Derrick Yamada (149,600), who finished runner up at the Main Event in Lake Tahoe late last year.

We have a handful of notables still in contention for this title. The list includes bracelet winners Mitch Schock (116,300) and David “ODB” Baker (89,800), and ring winners Phillip Hui (65,700), Ting Ho (56,000), Ray Henson (23,700), and Michael Sanders (19,800). We also have Allen Kessler (34,800), and a pair of brothers, Ralph Massey (128,500), and Aaron Massey (37,300).

We will start today at Level 13, and the plan is to either play down to a final table, or until Level 25, whichever comes first. We have 134 players who made it through the Day 1 flights, but players are still allowed to register for the tournament this morning, as long as they haven’t fired two bullets already.

The tournament is set to continue shortly here at the Lodge Casino, and we will be bringing you the action all day. Thanks for tuning into Pokernews, and we hope you enjoy the live coverage as we get ready for Day 2!
