Chris Karambinis Eliminated in 16th Place ($7,262)

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 2,000 ante

We only caught the tail end of the hand, but the players at the table filled us in on what happened. Kevin Eyster raised it up in early position, and Chris Karambinis shoved for his last 95,000. Lawrence Blazer then shoved all in for 200,000 total, and Eyster made the call.

Eyster: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Karambinis: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Blazer: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Blazer held the lead, but that quickly changed when the flop came {6-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Eyster was now in great position to secure a double knockout, but the turn brought the {9-Hearts}. This gave Blazer flush draw outs, and he hit one of them on the river, the {q-Hearts}.

After the stacks were broken down, Blazer bumped his stack up to 525,000, while Eyster dropped to 850,000. It was a great run for Karambinis, who told us before his Day 1 flight that he was going to win this tournament. Unfortunately for him, he fell 15 spots short.

Loren Brown Eliminated in 15th Place ($8,727)

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 2,000 ante

As we were typing up a previous post, Loren Brown was eliminated. We went over to see how it happened, and Kevin Eyster, the man who scored the knockout, told us how it went down.

Eyster opened the action to 30,000 and Brown three bet it to 60,000. Eyster called, and the flop came down {9-Diamonds}{3-}{5-Diamonds}. Eyster checked to Brown, who moved all in for his last 110,000. Eyster made the call, and we had a coin flip.

Brown: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Eyster: {7-}{7-}

Brown actually had the slight advantage, but the board bricked out on him, coming a non diamond {6-} and {3-}.

Eyster bumped his stack back up to 1.001 million

Jonathan Seelbach Eliminated in 14th Place ($8,727)

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 2,000 ante

The eliminations keep coming here at the Lodge Casino. As we were being filled in on Loren Brown's bustout, we lost Jonathan Seelbach. Action folded around to Lawrence Blazer in the cutoff, and he limped in. Bryan Campanello completed out of the small blind, and it was on Seelbach in the big blind. He moved all in for his last 150,000, and Blazer got out of the way. Campanello got a count, and after about 30 seconds of tanking, he tossed in the call.

Campanello: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Seelbach: {q-Clubs}{7-Spades}

The board ran down {5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}, and Campanello's two pair was good enough to claim the bounty, upping his stack to 795,000 in the process.

Ho Takes the Chip Lead

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 2,000 ante

We missed the preflop action, but Ting Ho and Bryan Campanello were heads up on a flop that read {3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{k-Spades}. Campanello fired out 54,000, and Ho minraised it to 108,000. Campanello tanked for about 20 seconds before clicking it back to 165,000, and it was back on Ho. She didn't take very long to put a four bet to 258,000, and Campanello went deep into the tank.

He counted out some chips, then made a grimace, checked his hole cards one more time, then slid them to the dealer. After losing that raising war, Campanello fell to 548,000, while Ho became our new chip leader with 1.25 million.

Jared Ingles Eliminated in 13th Place ($8,727)

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 2,000 ante

Jared Ingles had high hopes of making his second WSOP Circuit Main Event final table in three months, but he fell just four spots short. We didn't get the hand as it happened, but Allan Hedin, the player who did the dirty work, filled us in.

According to him, Hedin opened up the action to 30,000. Ingles then shipped all in for his last 320,000, and when it got back to Hedin, he made the call.

Hedin: {q-}{q-}
Ingles: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The flop came down {k-}{q-}{8-} with one heart, and Hedin had flopped middle set. Ingles would need a jack or running hearts, and the turn did bring the {4-Hearts}. However, the {2-Clubs} hit the river, and Ingles was sent to the payout desk. Meanwhile, Hedin is the latest player to join the millionaire club, as he now has 1.02 million.

David Pecaski Eliminated in 12th Place ($10,634)

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

James Pecaski had been short stacked for the last couple of hours, shoving a handful of times without getting called. However, he was finally looked up by Jonathan Taylor just now, and Pecaski was not able to survive.

Pecaski open shoved preflop holding {k-}{q-}, and Taylor looked him up with {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. The flop was a disaster for Pecaski, coming {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Pecaski would now need runner runner to survive, but the hand was done when the {7-Clubs} hit the turn. The meaningless river was the {8-Clubs}, and Pecaski exited as our first player to have a five figure payday.

Meanwhile, Taylor has taken the chip lead with that pot, as he now has 1.4 million.

Blazer Spikes A Jack To Double

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

We only caught the aftermath of the hand, but we know that Lawrence Blazer got the last of his 220,000 in preflop holding {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Unfortunatley for him, Kevin Eyster looked him up with {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

The flop was safe for Eyster, {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{a-Spades}, as was the turn, the {7-Spades}. However, Blazer nailed the {j-Clubs} on the river, scoring a double up to 500,000. Despite the hit, Eyster is still sitting on 1.1 million.

Johnson Counterfeits Taylor To Double

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Just seconds after Lawrence Blazer got lucky to double up, Jerry Johnson did the same thing against Jonathan Taylor. Taylor raised it up to 32,000, and Johnson open shoved for his last 260,000. It got back around to Taylor, and he made the call.

Taylor: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Johnson: {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}

"I folded the good ole ace-nine," Ashly Butler said before he saw Johnson's cards. The flop was dry for Johnson, coming down {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. The {j-Hearts} on the turn gave Johnson extra outs, and when the {7-Hearts} came on the river, Taylor was counterfeited.

Johnson did not realize until after the hand was over that he had won, as he almost mucked his hand. However, he caught it at the last second, breathed a sigh of relief, and collected the pot.

That hand bumped Johnson up to 550,000, while Taylor fell to 1.02 million.
