Up and Down for ODB

Level 19 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

While we were on the bubble, David "ODB" Baker was involved in four, that's right, four consecutive hands, two of which he was at risk for his tournament life.

In the first hand, Baker held {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, and was up against the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} of Drazen Ilich. Ilich flopped an open ended straight draw, and hit it on the river.

That hand knocked Baker down to just 20,500. On the very next hand, Baker shoved when it folded to him in the small blind, and the big blind looked him up.

Baker held {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}, and was well out in front of his opponent's {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. The board ran down great for Baker, coming {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

On the very next hand, Baker was involved in a three way all in pot. Baker held {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, his opponent in the previous hand held {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, and the player who had them both covered held {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Baker was well behind, until the flop came {4-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. The turn brought the {q-Diamonds}, and the river came the {5-Diamonds}.

Baker won a small side pot on the next hand, but failed to knockout the short stack that he had crippled on the hand before. After all the dust settled, Baker was left with 160,000.

Campanello Loses To One Outer

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Bryan Campanello
Bryan Campanello

We didn't catch the exact preflop action, but here's what we figured out. Bryan Campanello opened in early position, and a player on the button moved all in for his last 130,000. The big blind also move all in for 108,000, and Campanello snap called.

Campanello: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Opponent 1: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Opponent 2: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Campanello was in fantastic shape to jump up to almost 900,000, but that all changed when the flop came {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Campanello was understandably quite stunned, and he wasn't able to hit a one outer of his own, as the board completed {8-Hearts} and {4-Hearts}.

Campanello took the bad beat in stride, saying "I was due to get one outered eventually." Despite the hit, he is still our chip leader, sitting on 620,000.

Final Four Tables

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Just like that, we have lost four players and are down to our final 36. Once we lose one more table of players, we will get the names of everyone left, and update their chip stacks.

Lynch Gets Coolered

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Rosie Paules started the action with a raise to 12,000, and it folded around to Mstr Lynch on the button. He made it 30,000 to go, and when it got back to Paules, she reraised to 50,000. Lynch committed the rest of his chips, and Paules quickly called.

Lynch: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Paules: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Lynch was in a world of hurt, and he was almost drawing dead after the flop came {k-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Clubs}. Lynch would need the two remaining queens in the deck, but that didn't happen, as the board completed {8-Hearts} and {4-Hearts}.

After that hand, Paules has jumped up to 385,000.

Ingles Busts Three in Two Hands

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Jared Ingles is setting himself up for his second WSOP Circuit Final Table this year after finished 4th in Los Angeles in January.

In the first hand, a player tried to moved all in preflop, but moved his chips forward in two motions without saying "all in". As a result, his bet was a raise to 35,000, with 12,000 left behind. Ingles was next to act, and he made the call. Everyone else folded, and the two saw a flop of {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. The rest of the money got in, and Ingles had his opponent crushed.

Ingles: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The board completed {2-Hearts} and {3-Diamonds}, and Ingles took the pot down. On the next hand, Ingles started the action by raising to 12,000. Rosie Paules made the call, and then the small blind moved all in for his last 23,000. The big blind also shoved all in for 23,000, and Ingles shoved to isolate. Paules folded, and the cards were table.

Ingles: {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Opponent 1: {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Opponent 2: {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}

The dealer fan a flop of {2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, and Ingles was still behind, but that changed when the {10-Diamonds} hit the turn. The river brought the {6-Clubs}, and Ingles collected the double knockout.

After that pot, Ingles is sitting on 510,000.

Ho Loses Flip

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Action folded around to the player in the cutoff, and he moved all in. We don't know the exact amount, but it was for about 40,000. The button was next to act, and made the call, leaving himself just 16,000 behind. Ting Ho was next in the small blind, and she also made the call. The flop came down {8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, and the last 16,000 got in the middle.

Ho: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Opponent 1: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Opponent 2: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

It was a disastrous flop for Ho, who would need runner runner to win the hand. That didn't happen though as the board ran down {3-Diamonds} and {7-Diamonds}.

Ho is still alive after the hand, but she is short with just 110,000.

Baker Busto

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Action folded around to Ting Ho in the cutoff, and she moved all in for about 130,000. It folded to David "ODB" Baker in the big blind, and he peaked at his cards one at a time before making the call for less.

Ho: {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Baker: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The flop was about as action packed as you could get, coming down {6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{q-Hearts}. This gave Baker a set, but Ho an open ended straight draw. She completed that straight when the {8-Clubs} hit the turn, and Baker now needed to have the board pair to win.

That didn't happen, as the {3-Clubs} hit the river. The chips were broken down, and Ho had Baker covered by 20,000. That pot jumped her up to 250,000, and got us down to our final three tables in the process.
