Roussia Doubles Through Ayub

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

On a {2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} board Loic Roussia got his last 20,000 or so chips in with {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and had to dodge cards against the {q-Hearts}{k-Hearts} of opponent Ali Ayub.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and the river the {a-Spades} and Roussia doubled up. Ayub slammed his chips down on the table.

"I don't know how you survived there," he said. He leaned forward and picked up the final burn card, still face down. "Have a look!" he emplored Roussia.

Roussia turned over the {4-Spades}. "See," he explained, "I'd miss there as well!"

Sprachta Doubles on the River

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

The flop read {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{a-Hearts} and the first player to act bet 2,300. Alois Sprachta raised to 15,000 and Nebojsa Ankucic shoved all in for 17,150. The first player looked frustrated and decided to fold but showed the {A-Spades} while he flicked it towards the dealer and the card fell on the floor. Sprachta hadn't called yet but ended up still doing it.

Nebojsa Ankucic: {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Alois Sprachta: {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Ankucic had a flush draw and Sprachta had hit two pair.

The rest of the board was filled with the {J-Clubs} on the turn and the {6-Hearts} on the river to complete the flush draw for Ankucic. Ankucic doubled up and the floor was called for a new deck as the {A-Spades} had been on the floor.

Zaskodny Chips Up Through "Maniac"

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

Lukas Zaskodny has been the beneficiary of a rather "active" player at his table who is now no longer sat at the table. According to the table, whenever there was an open and a call in front of him, this player would immediately three-bet jam all in for his starting stack.

As was the case in this hand. The under-the-gun player opened and got a call before the active player moved all in from the small blind for 30,000. Lukas Zaskodny was in the big blind and re-raised all in over the top and the under the gun player called all in. The fourth player in the hand folded and the cards were turned over.

Zaskodny was in the lead with {a-}{a-} against the {10-}{10-} of the under the gun player and the {a-}{k-} of the small blind. The board ran out {a-}{j-}{x-}{k-}{2-} giving Zaskodny the pot and eliminating two players.

Stannard Peels and Gets There

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

Thomas Stannard raised to 800 from under the gun and got three callers in the hijack and the two blinds.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and the big blind and Stannard both check-called a bet of 1,300 from the hijack. The turn was the {k-Spades} and again it checked to the hijack who bet 3,000. Stannard was the only caller and the river was the {4-Diamonds}.

Stannard checked for a third time and the hijack bet 6,000. Stannard called.

"You got it," the hijack said, and Stannard showed {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} for top pair.

Noubarian Isn't Scared

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

Michael Sklenicka raised to 800 from the under-the-gun position. Majid Ejlal Noubarian three-bet to 2,100 from mid-position and was called by the player in the hijack and Sklenicka.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{9-Clubs}, Sklenicka and Noubarian both checked. The hijack bet 3,500, Sklenicka folded and Noubarian called.

The turn brought them the {6-Spades}, now Noubarian bet 6,700 and the hijack called.

The river completed the board with the {a-Spades}, Noubarian fired 15,000 into the pot. His opponent tanked for a while. He sat up straight, kept staring at the board and then reluctantly put some chips over the line to call. Noubarian showed {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for the turned straight and his opponent mucked.
