Wisdom Bombs The River

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Andrew Wisdom raised to 12,000 on the button, Ryan McClintock called from the small blind and the big blind came along as well. All three players checked the flop of {5-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and they went to a turn card.

The {6-Diamonds} fell on the turn and McClintock led out for 17,000. The big blind folded and Wisdom called.

The {8-Clubs} completed the board and the action was checked to Wisdom who bet huge. 92,000 was the bet and McClintock went into the tank. After giving it some thought McClintock folded and Wisdom scooped the pot.

Ryan McClintock

On a board reading {9-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{j-Spades} Ryan McClintock bet 20,000 from under the gun and Andrew Wisdom called from the big blind.

The {2-Clubs} completed the board and Wisdom check-raised McClintock's bet of 33,000 to 90,000. McClintock thought it over for some time before he called.

Ryan McClintock: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Andrew Wisdom: {j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Eskandari Eliminates Klein

Level 17 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Massoud Eskandari raised to 13,000 from the hijack and Bill Klein moved all in from the small blind. Eskandari called and they flipped their cards over.

Massoud Eskandari: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Bill Klein: {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

The flop gave Klein some hope as it came {8-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. But the board completed {10-Diamonds} and {3-Spades} to eliminate Klein in 17th place. The final 16 players are now re-drawing for the final two tables.

Wisdom Waits Till The River

Level 17 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Andrew Wisdom
Andrew Wisdom

A player opened to 10,000 from the cutoff and Andrew Wisdom moved all in for effectively 160,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded and the cutoff quickly called.

Andrew Wisdom: {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Opponent: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Wisdom was in rough shape and the {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop didn't change anything. The {10-Clubs} turn card left Wisdom just one card away from doubling up his opponent. But the {4-Spades} river improved Wisdom to a full house and he sent his opponent to the rail.

Young Gets Value On The River

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Massoud Eskandari raised to 8,000 from the cutoff. The button, Maxwell Young from the small blind and the big blind called.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Eskandari put out a continuation bet of 19,000. Young called and the other players folded. Both players checked the {q-Diamonds} turn card and Young led for 38,000 on the {3-Diamonds} river. Eskandari thought it over before he put in the chips to call.

Maxwell Young: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Young tabled trip queens and Eskandari sent his hand into the muck.
