Smith Takes One Out

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Lucas Smith raised it up from the cutoff and the big blind shoved all in for around 30,000. It didn't take long for Smith to make the call and he had his opponent in bad shape.

Lucas Smith: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The flop came {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} and Smith was still out front with his pair of jacks. The {8-Diamonds} on the turn nor the {5-Clubs} on the river were gonna help his opponent and Smith raked in the pot.

A Win and a Tie for Alcorn

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Heather Alcorn raised it up from under the gun and only the big blind called. The flop came {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and the big blind check-called a bet of 6,000 from Alcorn.

The turn was the {3-Clubs} and the big blind checked again. Alcorn fired out another bet of 10,000 and her opponent still called. The river was the {6-Clubs} and both players checked. Alcorn showed {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and was awarded the pot.

In the next hand, Ray Henson raised to 6,000 on the button and Alcorn three-bet to 15,000 in the big blind. Henson called and the flop fell {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Alcorn led out for 11,000 and Henson raised to 25,000 which Alcorn called.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and both players checked to the {3-Spades} on the river. Alcorn checked again and Henson fired out a bet of 30,000. Alcorn hummed and hawed for a minute but eventually made the call. Both players turned over ace-king and split the pot.

Ovuka Sends Cunningham to the Rail

Level 14 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Vanja Ovuka opened to 6,000 on the button and Rob Cunningham moved all in for around 30,000 in the big blind. Ovuka quickly flicked in a single chip to make the call and the cards were tabled.

Vanja Ovuka: {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Rob Cunningham: {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

The flop of {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} missed both players which left Ovuka in the lead. The {10-Hearts} on the turn paired Ovuka and Cunningham whiffed on the {a-Diamonds} river.

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Craig Trost raised it up from the cutoff and Greg Merson defended from the big blind. The flop came {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Merson check-called a bet of 4,000 from Trost.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and both players checked with four clubs on the board. The {q-Spades} completed the board and Merson splashed in a bet of 7,000. Trost instantly called and Merson showed {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for just ace-high. Trost held {q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for a flush and scooped the pot.
