PokerNews is in town to live report the $1,700 Main Event here at the World Series of Poker Circuit Ameristar St. Charles, but that is just on gold ring event that will have played out by the end of the series.

In Event #9: $600 No-Limit Hold’em, 137 entrants created a $70,555 prize pool that was paid out to the top 21 players including Darin Utley (3rd - $8,028), Rodney Spriggs (6th - $3,107), Heather Alcorn (11th - $1,310), Brett Apter (13th - $1,141), Mike Shin (15th - $1,141), Craig Welko (16th - $1,027), and Mengran Wang (21st - $957).

Coming out on top to win the $18,806 top prize was 28-year-old Cory Bogert, who also laid claim to his fourth WSOPC gold ring.

“I felt much better at the start of today, I was pretty sick yesterday. I was happy to get some rest,” Bogert explained. “We were all pretty even in chips at the start of the day as well.”

He added: “I made a big bluff when we were three-handed. I bluff raised all-in and got it through. There was no looking back from that point.”
