Cormier Not Going Down Without a Fight

Both remaining players checked the flop, turn and river on a runout of K♥4♥7♦6♥9♣. Clusiau had K♦2♦ for a pair of kings and Cormier tabled A♣A♥ for a pair of aces to take the pot.

Cormier would double up a few hands later with 9♥5♥ against Keven Desgagne's 6♥4♣ on a Q♣10♥9♦3♥A♥ runout to score a second full double up and save himself from the brink of elimination.

Desgagne was well ahead on the K♥J♣4♦ flop but Cormier did pick up some outs on the 7♠ turn. The 9♣ river was a brick and Desgagne scooped a massive pot while Cormier was left with just over one big blind.
