Unlucky 13

We've been at 13 players for awhile, as the good structure and big stacks have prevented players from getting too involved. Stay tuned!

Jerry Martin Bluffs Jason DeWitt

Jerry Martin limped in for 3,000 and Jason DeWitt raised to 15,000. Martin called and the flop came {2-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {3-Clubs}. They both checked and the turn came the {3-Diamonds}. Martin led out for 15,500 and DeWitt called. The river brought the {7-Spades} and this Martin bet 26,500. DeWitt tanked, and eventually had the clock called. As time ran out, he folded as Jerry Martin showed {K-Clubs} {J-Hearts} for the bluff.

Martin moved up over 125,000 while DeWitt slipped to under 80,000.

DeWitt takes another DeHit

Jason DeWitt and Samuel Oberlin saw a flop of {Q-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} . Each checked which brought the {K-Diamonds} turn. DeWitt checked it over to Oberlin who bet 7,500, which DeWitt called. The {8-Diamonds} fell on the river and again DeWitt checked. This time, Oberlin bet 40,000. DeWitt called but saw Oberlin turn over {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} for the nut flush.

Oberlin now sits with 183,000 while DeWitt is down to 28,000.

So Stoked

Jamin Stokes raises to 7,500 and Len Ashby calls. The flop is {J-Clubs}{6-Spades}{J-Spades} and Ashby checks. Stokes bets 10,000 and Ashby calls.

The turn is {6-Hearts} and both check.

The river is {5-Diamonds} and Stokes bets 26,500. Ashby folds immediately.

Dean Schultz Eliminates Jason DeWitt

Dean Schultz raised to 8,000 under the gun and Jason DeWitt moved all in for 20,800. Dean paused for a few moments before making the call. The hands were:

Schultz: {A-Spades} {K-Clubs}
DeWitt: {8-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}

The board was a good one for Schultz as it rolled out {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {9-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}.

DeWitt hits the rail while Schultz increased his stack to nearly 90,000.
