Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Quirin Zech
Quirin Zech

Tonino Schmitz raised to 60,000 and Andrew King just called before Quirin Zech then shoved foe what looked like 400,000. Schmitz folded and King quickly called.

King: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Zech: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

The flop came {A-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Zech was drawing to two outs only. The {2-Hearts} on the turn changed nothing and the {10-Spades} river was a blank as well to reduce the field to its last 20 hopefuls.

Jens Steuber shoved his short stack from the button and Ismail Kalkan called from the big blind for his last few big blinds with the {K-Clubs}{8-Spades}. Steuber had the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and it was all over after the turn of a {J-Spades}{A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{A-Diamonds} board. Kalkan headed to the rail in 23rd place for a payday of €7,296.

On a flop of {3-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Johnny Hansen went all in in heads-up play against Maik Herrmann. Herrmann put his tournament life at stake after calling for his last 350,000 chips, and it looked like he was going to double up when he revealed {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} to his opponents {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

The turn was a safe {5-Hearts}, however, Herrmann was visibly upset when the {9-Spades} hit the river to be eliminated in the tournament in 24th place for €7,296.

Oleksandr Zhyrnov Eliminated in 25th Place

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Oleksandr Zhyrnov
Oleksandr Zhyrnov

It was an elimination in three steps for Oleksandr Zhyrnov, who first pushed from the button with the {A-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Jens Steuber called all in for 240,000 with the {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} in the big blind and the board ran out {2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}.

One hand later, Ismail Kalkan shoved from under the gun with the {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Zhyrnov called all in for less than one big blind from the cutoff with the {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. The river card on the board {Q-Clubs}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} provided help for the Ukrainian and he sat down for one more hand.

Zhyrnov then shoved for 80,000 with the {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Kalkan called in the big blind with {Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. This time the flop came {4-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Kalkan found top pair. Neither the {5-Diamonds} turn nor {J-Hearts} river changed anything and the field was reduced to the last three tables.

Roman Cieslik Exits in 27th Place for €6,223

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Roman Cieslik
Roman Cieslik

Germany's Roman Cieslik was unable to get anything going today. Down to under five big blinds, he jammed all-in and was called by current chip leader Süleyman Erdar.

Cieslik: {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Erdar: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

Cieslik was unable to catch up on a {K-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop, and the {3-Diamonds} on the turn didn't help him improve either. Erdar added insult to injury when the {5-Clubs} hit the river giving him a set.

Cieslik collected €6,223 for his 26th place finish. The table suddenly stood up thinking the table was going to break since it was five-handed, but tournament director Steve Frezer asked the dealer to not stop dealing and everyone rushed back to the table.

A hand later, 2015 WSOP Pot Limit Omaha gold bracelet winner Vasili Firsau joined the table. Firsau also won a gold ring and heard the Belarussian National Anthem play during this poker festival after finishing in first place in the WSOP Circuit King's Casino Pot Limit Omaha High Roller.

Over on the feature table, Zoltan Gal raised and Amir Mozaffarian shoved his stack of 22 big blinds out of the blinds with the {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Gal looked him up with the {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} and the board ran out {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}.

Before standing up from his chair, Mozaffarian grinned and asked "do you have more than me?", receiving some laughter in return by the always smiling Gal.

Marko Ilicic
Marko Ilicic

Miltiadis Kyriakides raised from early position and then called the shove of Marko Ilicic for a mere five big blinds, flipping over the {A-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Ilicic was at risk with the {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and the Cypriot flopped two pair on the board {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{K-Spades}.

Shortly after, Steven Stephan doubled up his tiny stack with {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} versus {J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} on the feature table after a board of {4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

Aleksei Ivanov raised from the button to 50,000 and Pavol Beca moved all in out of the small blind for almost ten times of that with the {A-}{9-}. Ivanov had seen his pocket kings cracked not long ago in an all in showdown, but this time they held up to bust Beca in 30th place.

Ismael Kalkan got moved from table four over to the right of Ivanov.

De Busscher First Casualty

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Frank de Busscher
Frank de Busscher

Michael Magalaschvili won a nice pot off chip leader Alexandar Denishev after defending the {9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and improving from a gushot to a straight to better the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} of the Bulgarian.

Soon after, Andrew King raised the button and Frank de Busscher defended to see the flop fall {4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. De Busscher got his short stack in with the {9-Spades}{2-Spades} for top pair, but King had an easy call with {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}. Both the {Q-Spades} turn and the {K-Diamonds} river bricked and the Belgian was the first casualty on Day 3.
