With almost 90 minutes of play in the books on Day 1a, none of the 300 entrants on the day have yet to hit the shower. With less players yesterday in Day 1a, there were a few early bustouts with the first player leaving and reentering the tournament after just 10 minutes.
The field size continues to grow and grow as more tables begin to fill up with players at King's Casino for the WSOP Circuit Main Event Day 1b. We are now at 296 entrants on the day just a little more than an hour into the tournament.
We caught up to the action on the river, when Netherlands' Zues-Jan Post raised a pot sized bet of 8,500 on a board of . His opponent tanked for a couple of minutes before calling and mucked his hand after Post showed for the straight.
As we enter Level 2 in Day 1b with blinds at 50/100, we now already have 261 entrants, which is 10 more than the 251 that entered and reentered all day yesterday for Day 1a.
The tournament directors are optimistic this number will continue to grow quickly, and there is still a small line of people waiting to pay their fee and get into the action.
Romania's Flavius Voinea is now the early chip leader with 53,000 chips. A key early hand for him is when he min-raised under the gun to 100 in the dark. A player in mid position called, as did the players in both the small and big blinds.

The player in the big blind folded after the player in the small blind three-bet to 2,000 chips, which Voinea flatted and his other opponent called behind.
The turn came the , the player in the small blind bet 4,200. Voinea called and the player in mid-position folded. While catching up with the United Kingdom's Arvin Ravindran, Poland's Misztela Przemyslaw took down a quick pot.
On a board of and the pot at already around 3,100, the player under the gun fired out a pot sized bet. Przemyslaw tanked for at least a minute before calling. His opponent was bluffing with complete air as he mucked his hand instead of revealing his cards when called.
As players start to pile in, it looks like we will have many more than the 251 entrants that ponied up the €1,650 WSOP Circuit King's Casino Main Event buy-in yesterday in Day 1a as we already have 175 entrants according to the board, and the line is 20 people deep with still ten minute before the first cards are dealt for Day 1b. It is expected that we should see a packed room at King's Casino a couple of hours from now with what some are speculating could be around 500 entrants after many players late register.
