Welcome to Day 2 of the 2015 WSOP Circuit Rozvadov Main Event

Tournament Area at the King's Casino
Tournament Area at the King's Casino

The second of the 2015 World Series of Poker Circuit €1,650 Main Event at the King's Casino in Rozvadov will see at least 290 players return to the tables in order to make history. The biggest Circuit Main Event outside of the US came with an impressive guarantee of €1,000,000 and that number has already been eclipsed with at least 682 entries.

That number is not final yet, as another eight players won their entry in a last minute Satellite last night and registration remains open until the first card is dealt.

The first goal of the penultimate day is reaching the money and the payouts will be announced within the first two levels of play. As of today and for the final on Monday, the level duration increases to 60 minutes and the tournament is scheduled to play down to the last 16 hopefuls.

Leading the field thus far is Day 1a chip leader Michael Eiler with 248,600 followed by 2015 WSOP bracelet winner Paul Michaelis (241,500) and Steven Stephan (235,100). Day 1b leader Marcin Wydrowski follows in fourth place overall with 230,000 and the prominent top five are rounded up by Vadim Markushevski with 226,100.

Especially at the start with blinds of 800-1,600 and a running ante of 200, the action is expected to be fast and furious with eight-handed tables as soon as possible. Action gets underway in one hour from now at 14:00 local time and many other notables made it through on decent stacks such as Martin Meciar (181,700), Martin Kabrhel (174,800), Serok Kilic (160,600), 2015 WSOPE bracelet winner Makarios Avramidis (152,900), high stakes player Pavel Binar (145,500), Miltiadis Kyriakides (134,600), PLO High Roller winner Vasili Firsau (130,800), Petr Jelinek (121,200), Finn Zwad (103,400), Super High Roller third-place finisher Pierre Mothes (101,900) and Micha Hoedemaker (100,700).

Jan-Peter Jachtmann (69,600), Zeus-Jan Post (61,800), Erwann Pecheux (50,000) and Thomas Butzhammer (40,000) will start below average but have enough experience to navigate through these big fields as proven many times before.

The PokerNews team will be there to provide live reporting on the way to determine the finalists for tomorrow and a live stream table is also available on Twitch and in the navigation bar above the updates.

Petr Jelinek
Petr Jelinek

Aleksei Ivanov raised from under the gun and Petr Jelinek as well as Antun Topic got their short stacks in the middle of the table. Ivanov called with the {A-Spades}{J-Spades} and Topic's cards were already in the muck as soon as the flop came {J-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}.

Jelinek was also drawing dead already with the {K-Spades}{J-Clubs} and the board filled up with the {4-Hearts} turn and {3-Diamonds} river.

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Steven Stephan
Steven Stephan

Steven Stephan continues to steamroll in the tournament. In the biggest pot of the day, Stephan scooped 450,000 after he went all-in and got Walter Theodor Vesti on a {K-}{7-Spades}{8-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-} board. Stephan, who played the hand from the big blind held the nuts with {j-}{9-}, while Vesti was overheard saying he folded {K-}{K-} for top set.

Serok Kilic
Serok Kilic

Back from the break, in fact in the first hand, a player shoved for 50,000 with the {A-}{2-} and Serok Kilic moved all in over the top from the button for 80,000 with the {A-Spades}{K-Spades}. Jan-Peter Jachtmann woke up with pocket aces in the big blind and neither of the short stacks was able to get a miracle.

Erdar Wins Big Pot with Aces

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Süleyman Erdar
Süleyman Erdar

In the last hand of the previous level, Vasili Firsau raised to 9,000 from the cutoff and Süleyman Erdar three-bet to 27,000 from the button, which Firsau called. On the flop {3-Spades}{K-Clubs}{J-Spades}, Firsau check-called a bet of 30,000 and did so again for 50,000 on the {4-Hearts} turn. The {Q-Hearts} came on the river and Firsau fired 121,000.

Erdar was having a tough decision and ultimately tossed in a chip for the call to get shown {5-Spades}{7-Spades} by Firsau for the busted combo draw. Erdar jumped up, celebrated and then showed his winning {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}.

Mikkel Plum Among the Recent Tournament Casualties

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Mikkel Plum
Mikkel Plum

Denmark's Mikkel Plum has been on a decent run in big tournaments lately. First in late September, he took second place in the WPT National Austria Main Event for €38,650. Less than a month later, Plum grabbed third place in the World Series of Poker Europe Event #3 - Pot Limit Omaha Eight-Handed Event for €55,755 . He won't be able to add a first place to his impressive streak - or even a cash - as he is one of the more recent players to exit the tournament.

The tournament is now 19 players away from the money with 99 entrants remaining and 80 players walking away with at least the posted minimum cash of €2,545.

Ilicic Busts Two

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Aleksandr Nemcov
Aleksandr Nemcov

Paul Michaelis lost a 360,000 pot with {A-}{K-} against the {A-}{8-} of Roman Bláha and the next big pot was about to emerge on table 3.

Aleksandr Nemcov flat-called a raise by Marko Ilicic and Goran Curic then moved all in. Ilicic isolated and moved all in himself with Nemcov calling all in for around 100,000.

Ilicic: {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Curic: {A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Nemcov: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{A-Clubs} to give Ilicic a straight and bust two opponents just prior to the end of the level.

Pustula Misses out on the Money

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Jacek Pustula
Jacek Pustula

Jacek Pustula turned the nut straight and then shoved into Alexandar Denishev, who had turned two pair. The river paired the board and Denishev made the full house to double up in a huge pot, leaving Pustula very short. He got it in with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and Quirin Zech called with the {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

The {K-Clubs} appeared on the flop and the {Q-Clubs} on the turn, giving Pustula hope of a comeback story. However the clubs flush draw for Zech came on the river and that sent Pustula to the rail.

Sasa Lalos Out in 82nd Place

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Sasa Lalos
Sasa Lalos

We are now on the stone-cold bubble after Sasa Lalos bowed out in 82nd place. The tournament is still in hand-for-hand mode with just one more player to go out before everyone else is guaranteed at least a minimum cash.

On a {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} board, Nick Krasniqi put his opponent to the test by putting his opponent all in his opponent's last 100,000 chips with the pot already had about the same amount in the middle.

After a couple of minutes, Krasniqi called the clock on Lalos. Lalos called with top pair with {A-}{K-}, and stormed away angrily after he saw his opponent unfold {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for two-pair.
