J.C. Tran on Fire

JC Tran
JC Tran
J.C. Tran is absolutely dominating his table. He has won two huge pots and is now up to 180,000 in chips.

In the first hand he had the worst of it when the money went in, holding Q-10 on a flop of Q-J-10 against his opponent's Q-J. But a 10 on the turn gave him the pot.

In the second hand, his opponent slowplayed a set of eights and Tran was able to bust him when he hit a flush on the turn.

The Bubble Bursts!

Oleg Potseluev moves all in for his last 700 UTG and is called in three spots. They all check it down.

The board reads {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. The small blind has {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}. Oleg says "that's a winner" and mucks.

We are in the money!

Michael Chu Wins a Bracelet

The Final Table announcer has just announced we have a new bracelet winner, Michael Chu (Event No. 8, $1,000 NLHE w/rebuys).

Almost all players still in this tournament offer a genuine round of applause as they know just how hard those coveted bracelets are to get.

Short Stack Triples Up

Jay Royer is all in on the big blind for 400. It is folded around to the button who raises to 1,200 and is called by the small blind.

They check it down to the river.

The board reads {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

The button has {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}.
The small blind has {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}.
The all in player shows {J-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for a straight.

We are STILL hand for hand.

Slow Going

Two more hands and still the bubble has yet to burst. There are a few short stacks, but overall everyone has plenty of chips due to the speed at which the tables condensed and the structure of the tournament.

Close, But No Cigar

Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel raises to 3,500 UTG and it is folded around to Brad Simmons on the big blind. He is short stacked, so if he calls it will put him all in.

He goes into the tank.

He stays in the tank.

He is still in the tank.

Eventually, he calls and turns over {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}. Seidel has {6-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

The flop is {6-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and it is like the entire tournament is holding their breath. If Seidel's pair of sixes hold up, we are in the money.

The turn card is the {Q-Spades} and the players let out a collective groan. Seidel smiles.

The river card is the {J-Hearts}

Still hand-for-hand.
