Two-Time Bracelet Winner Scoops Pot

Chris Bjorn scoops a pot when he has {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} up versus an opponent's {A-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Bjorn shows A-3-4-5-6 for low and sixes up for high. His opponent only has A-2-3-6-8 and no made hand for high. Bjorn, who has a bracelet in 1997 for Pot Limit Omaha and one in 2000 for No Limit Hold'em, is up to 40,000.

Daniel Negreanu's Mirror Image

Daniel Negreanu, during his fifteen-minute break in the HORSE event, has rushed down a few tables to his $5,000 Limit Hold'em spot. He's going to play a few hands during the break before coming back. This has been a common practice all Series among a number of pros. Andy Black has even taped a big cutout of himself to his chair when he's not present, but Negreanu is just content to let his empty chair speak for itself.

Esfandiari's Set Hopes Vanish

A player in middle position raises and Antonio Esfandiari calls in the cutoff. A player on the button re-raises and David Williams folds in the big blind. The middle position calls all in and Esfandiari calls. After this furious preflop action, the flop is {10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{J-Spades} and Esfandiari bets in the cutoff. The button calls all in and shows {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. Esfandiari has {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. The set over set holds with {7-Spades}{3-Spades} and Esfandiari is down to 7,000. After the hand, Williams said he folded queens.

Negreanu Wins First Hand after Break

David Negreanu flops two pair and busts an opponent, bringing himself up to 33,000 in chips. After the hand he tells Scotty Nguyen over at the next table that he got J-J during the fifteen minute break, in a three-way pot, while he was playing in the Limit event a few tables down. His absent self is sitting on a good size pot over there, so he's juggling both events fine thus far. "Life is good!" he says.

Alex Jacob Busts

A player in middle position raises and Alex Jacob on the button raises all in for his last 400. The middle position calls. Jacob has {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and middle position has {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. The board is a roller coaster: {10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} and Jacob is out. He's not having a bad series, so look for him in another event soon.
