Daniel Negreanu Unhappy at Break

When Daniel Negreanu, member of the Players Advisory Council, advised Darrell Dicken and David Chiu that they'd be able to manage playing both the $2,500 H.O.R.S.E. event and the $5,000 Limit Hold'em World Championship in the same day, he was giving his honest opinion.

When the events were originally scheduled, the dinner breaks for each were supposed to be at different times; unfortunately for Daniel, that's not how things worked out.

Assuming he would be able to play a solid hour at 300-600 in the $5,000 limit event while the H.O.R.S.E. tournament was on dinner break, he went ahead and registered. Much to his displeasure, the tournament staff made an announcement yesterday that the dinner breaks would overlap, effectively eliminating any chance for Daniel to get in a full hour at 300-600.

He seemed most perturbed by the fact that he put his own neck on the line, explaining to both Darrell Dicken and David Chiu how they could fit both events into their schedules, based on the dinner breaks. He said he feels responsible for their $5,000 buy-ins, now that the tournament staff has deviated from the original schedule.

We'll let you know how all three players manage; Negreanu currently has 6600 left in the limit event, but he said his focus for the time being is the H.O.R.S.E. event.
