Dirksen Can't Lose

Before he'd finished stacking his chips from a pot he'd recently won, Dustin Dirksen found himself in the big blind facing a small raise from a player in late position. He made the call as if to say, "eh, it's only 3 more chips."

The flop came {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}, and in a flash all you could hear was "all-in . . . CALL."

Dirksen turned over 8-4 for top two pair, but was a serious underdog to his opponents set of 3's. "No 8's and no 4's," said Dirksen's opponent, just before gasping at the site of the {4-Spades} that fell on the turn. The river was a blank and Dirksen eliminated another opponent, driving his chip stack over the 300,000 mark.

We'll get you an exact count before the players break for the night.
