Good night!

Harry Demetriou Out

Harry Demetriou has just been eliminated on the last hand of the night.

He flopped a set of Aces and his opponent flopped an open-ended straight draw. The money went in on the turn when his opponent made his straight. Unfortunately for Harry, the river did not help him and he was out.

Dirksen Can't Lose

Before he'd finished stacking his chips from a pot he'd recently won, Dustin Dirksen found himself in the big blind facing a small raise from a player in late position. He made the call as if to say, "eh, it's only 3 more chips."

The flop came {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}, and in a flash all you could hear was "all-in . . . CALL."

Dirksen turned over 8-4 for top two pair, but was a serious underdog to his opponents set of 3's. "No 8's and no 4's," said Dirksen's opponent, just before gasping at the site of the {4-Spades} that fell on the turn. The river was a blank and Dirksen eliminated another opponent, driving his chip stack over the 300,000 mark.

We'll get you an exact count before the players break for the night.

Tilly Takes a Hit

Jennifer Tilly made it 6,000 to go from the cutoff and was reraised by the button, who made it 16,000. Tilly called. The flop came {J-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Tilly checked. The button bet 10,000 and Tilly check-raised to 30,000. The button then reraised all-in for 40,000 more.

If Tilly were to have called and lost, she would've been left with 35,000. Instead, she made the laydown and took a significant hit to her chip stack.

She's been playing well today -- don't be surprised if she bounces right back.

Binger Misses a Double Elimination

Michael
Michael
After raising 6,000 pre-flop, Michael Binger was forced into the tank when two opponents decided to go all-in against his raise. He made the call, only to find his K-10 up against {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. The pocket pair flopped a set, and while Binger remained alive, the other opponent headed for the exit.
