John Juanda Eliminated

Alan Sass bet 8,500 on a board showing {9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Juanda went into the tank for a very long time before announcing: "All in."

Sass called immediately and turned over {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} for bottom set. Juanda could only shake his head and smile as he revealed {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}.

The turn and river came {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Sass won the hand with a full boat. Always gracious in defeat, Juanda shook Sass' hand and wished everyone luck before exiting the tournament area.

Vinny Vinh and Ryan Fair Exchange Blows

Having lost 40K to Ryan Fair the hand before, Vinny Vinh wasn't about to be on the losing end of two hands in a row.

Vinny made it 6,000 to go before the flop and Fair reraised to 22,000. Vinny called, leaving him with 18,000 behind.

The flop came {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Fair put Vinny all in. Vinh made the call with {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Fair showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} for ace high.

The {9-Clubs} fell on the turn, giving Vinny the checkmark for the hand, doubling him through to 80,000 chips.

Robin Hood Ousted by Quads

When Barry Greenstein got his money in with A-9 against Rep Porter's K-9, it was looking like Barry was going to double through just before the end of Day 1 play; the poker gods had other plans.

One by one, the board revealed all three of the remaining kings in the deck by the turn, knocking Barry out of the tournament in 47th place.

Always a good sport, Barry signed a copy of his book for Rep before wishing everyone luck and exiting the tournament area.
