Phil Ivey Doubles Up

Matt Brady raised to 775 from the button, the small blind called, Phil Ivey re-raised to 3,000, Brady re-raised to 8,000, the small blind folded, Ivey moved all in and Brady called. Brady showed A-Q, Ivey K-K. The board came {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Ivey doubled to 32,000. Brady was down to only 1,800 after the hand.

Tehan Eliminates Ivey and Brady

Chips were flying on table 11, as Matt Brady moved all-in under the gun for 1500. Phil Ivey called from the cutoff and Joe Tehan made the call from the big blind.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Spades}, and Tehan checked to Ivey who bet 2,000 on the side; Tehan called.

The turn brought the {A-Spades} and Tehan tried to take down the pot on the spot with a 4,000 bet. Ivey had other plans, however, and made it 12,000 to go. Tehan thought long and hard before eventually making the call.

The river was the {J-Clubs}, which prompted Tehan to move all in for 13,500. Phil Ivey muttered "wow, wow, wow," under his breath and reluctantly made the call.

Tehan turned over the second nuts, {K-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, which sent both Ivey and Brady to the rail.

After the hand, Tehan surged into the chip lead with 64,000 chips.

Joe Hachem Doubles Through Jason Strasser

With the action folded around to Joe Hachem in the small blind, he moved all in and Jason Strasser called from the big blind. Hachem flipped over {K-Spades}{8-Spades} while Strasser tabled {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}. Strasser flopped top pair when it came out {Q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}, but Hachem had a flush draw. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and the river was the {A-Spades}, filling Hachem's flush.

Hachem was up to 8,650 after the hand while Strasser was down to 9,400.
