The Word is Given

We are coming back tomorrow for Day 3. The compromise is to start at 1 p.m. so that two of the players, Daniel Negreanu and Jeffrey Lisandro, can play in the evening Omaha event (though they might be jumping in late, depending on how they finish here). Chip counts and seating order in a moment.

Gary Pflieger Eliminated in 11th ($5,621)

First, the cripple hand:

Gary Pflieger x-x-2-2-9-7-x
Jeffrey Lisandro 8-9-{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}-x

Pflieger bets and is called on third through fifth. Lisandro bets on sixth. Pflieger calls. On seventh, both check and Pflieger is down to his last 10,000.

Then, he goes all in on third:

Pflieger {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}10-J-Q-K-x
Howard Lederer 7-9-{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}-9-2-9

Pflieger is drawing dead on seventh and is out.

Severin's Aces

Severin Walser A-A-{J-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}-x
Daniel Negreanu x-x-{7-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}-x

Walser checks on third and Negreanu bets. Walser calls. Walser then bets the whole rest of the way and Negreanu calls. Walser shows A-A in the hole and takes it, bringing him up to 100,000. Negreanu's down to 95,000.

Another Comeback for Lederer

Howard Lederer A-K-9-9-7-J-7
Farshad Cohen A-Q-3-Q-x-x-x

Farshad raises on third and Lederer calls all in. He catches two pair on seventh to double up.

Then:

Lederer 7-6-K-A-7-K-x
Jeffrey Lisandro Q-5-A-9-5-6-x

Lederer has two pair to double through Lisandro. With the cameras and the way the dealer is moving cards around after a showdown, it's becoming more difficult to get all the cards and suits.

Lederer is at 60,000.
