Kenna James Eliminated

Kenna raised 1,600 from under the gun and was reraised all in by a late-position player. Kenna thought for a while and eventually called with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. His opponent had {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and when the board ran out {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{K-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, Kenna's day was done.

Missing Chip Stack

We've been told by the tournament staff that the reason for the hold up is that a player's chip stack has come up missing.

Surveillance is looking into the matter now.

Play Halted

We are yet to restart after the dinner break, tournament staff appear to be dealing with a problem and have paused the clock.

Break Over

The dinner break is over and play is just about to resume, according to the tournament clock we have 640 players remaining. Blinds still at 300/600 with a 75 ante.

A Break Well-Spent

Eugene Todd spent his break from event 47 well, moving his chip stack up to nearly 22,000. Just before the dinner break in this event, he was all in with {A-Spades}{J-Spades} against {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and when the board came all low cards, he more than doubled up.

The Grinder on the Move

Michael Mizrachi has moved his stack up to nearly 40,000 after winning a series of pots. He was involved in a three-way pot just now that he lost -- but still turned a profit on. All the money was in preflop, Michael holding {A-Spades}{10-Clubs} against {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}. The board ran out {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds},{A-Diamonds},{7-Spades}. Luckily for The Grinder the pocket sixes had only 2,000 and the fives had nearly ten, so he picked up a nice side pot.

No Break for Eugene Todd

Eugene managed to build his stack to 14,000 in this tournament before he had to move over to his table for Day 2 of the $2,000 No limit Event 47. While he was there his stack lost around 6,000 in blinds and antes so he's spending his break from one tournament playing in this one.
