Barry Greenstein vs. Chad Brown

In one of the last hands before the break, Chad Brown raises from late position to 30,000, and Barry Greenstein calls from the button. Each player draws one card.

After the draw, both players check. Greenstein shows J-low and Brown shows A-low. (Remember, in deuce-to-seven, aces are always high.) Barry Greenstein wins the pot.

Lamar Wilkinson Doubles Through Barry Greenstein

Barry Greenstein raises to 27,000, Allen Cunningham calls, Lamar Wilkinson moves all in for 96,000, Greenstein moves all in over the top, and Cunningham folds. Greenstein draws one card, and Wilkinson stands pat.

After the draw, Greenstein shows he made a Q-low, while Wilkinson has {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a 9-8 low. Lamar Wilkinson doubles up in chips.

The Room Gets Crowded

When Day Two of this event started, the players were seated at some tables by the rail, but all of the surrounding tables were empty, creating a somewhat peaceful situation for the players. But now everyone from the poker tent (playing a megasatellite, I believe) have been moved into the Amazon Room because the air conditioning broke down in the heat.

The final 12 players in this event are now having to raise their voices just to hear each other over the loud crowd and the frequent announcements over the P.A. system.

Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson Triples Up

Freddy Deeb raises to 22,000, Parris 'Butch' Holmes calls from the cutoff, Ferguson moves all in from the big blind for 38,000, Deeb calls, and Holmes calls. Ferguson stands pat, Deeb takes one card, and Holmes takes one card.

After the draw, Deeb and Holmes both check. Holmes shows {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} for a Q-10 low, and Ferguson shows {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Deeb paired up on his last card, and Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson triples up to 128,000 in chips
