Dario Minieri takes down a nice pot with a bet on the flop (it had been reraised preflop), increasing his stack to 58,000. That puts him at the top of our list of notables, and we have yet to see any larger stacks.
Dario Minieri is best known for being the first person to purchase a Porsche 911 with his Frequent Player Points on PokerStars.
"I'll give $100 to anyone who knocks that guy out," Hawbaker announced to her table. She is fed up with a player in the two seat who continues to be giving her a hard time.
The feud started when the two were heads-up and she moved her chips all-in, then realized the player only had 4,000 left, so she took back all but 4,000 of her chips. "You're an idiot," the player announced for her action. "Just fold and give me your chips already," she said in response as the player continued to be upset over her action. Eventually he folded, ending the hand, although the argument continued. The table came to her defense, knowing that she was clearly just putting him all-in.
"Why don't you go somewhere and stick your head up your (EXPLETIVE DELETED)?" Brandi suggested after the player continued to call her an idiot even though the hand had already been completed. Brandi then announced the bounty, and the player called the floor over to complain about the action on the previous hand.
The fighting has died down for now, but we will keep you posted on any more feuds between the two.

David Benyamine has had a very rough Day 1. It started when he sat down at the same table as two other professional players; Cyndy Violette and Isaac Haxton. Things appeared to be getting better, as they broke his table and everyone there was randomly scattered throughout the Amazon Room. However, when Benyamine reached his new table, he was in for a bit of a surprise. Currently seated at the table are Chris "The Armenian Express" Grigorian and Antonio Esfandiari. In a room filled of a thousand "nobodies" trying to be "somebodies," David Benyamine can't stay away from the "already knowns."
On a board of , Steve Singh moved all in for 14,200 on the river. His opponent thought for an eternity before finally folding J-J face up. Singh mucked without showing, and his stack is up to 30,000.

You may (or may not) have heard that Phil Hellmuth had a little accident yesterday. Phil was driving an UltimateBet-themed race car around the Rio parking lot when he lost control and smashed into a concrete light fixture. After he reached his seat today and the other players asked what happened it sounded like Phil said the steering locked up on him right before the accident. A cameraman who saw the accident said, "If it wasn't for luck, he probably would have hit them all."
The plan was for Phil to drive up in his race car, emerge fully decked-out in racing gear, and stride through the Rio with 11 lovely ladies escorting him to his seat. A person with less than, ah, complete self-assurance might've squashed those plans after wrecking the car while driving around a parking lot, but this is Phil Hellmuth we're talking about. He showed up in a limo, met up with his phalanx of lovely ladies, and headed off to work.
