Hand #95 - Andy Bloch

Kathy Liebert has the button in Seat 9. Andy Bloch raises to 180,000 from the small blind and Mike Sexton calls. The flop is {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and both players check. The turn is the {5-Diamonds}. Bloch bets 250,000 and Sexton calls. The river is the {5-Spades}. Bloch fires out another 250,000 and Sexton makes the call.

Bloch shows {K-Spades}{9-Hearts} for two pair, kings and fives. Sexton shows J-10 for two pair, jacks and fives, and Bloch rakes in the sizeable pot.

Make That Five

An astute reader points out that FIVE of the players who made today's final table have won a million dollars in a single poker tournament. Patrik Antonius won $1,046,470 as the runner-up of the 2005 Five Diamonds World Poker Classic. Which only reinforces what I think was Mike Sexton's true point -- this final table is loaded.
