Double Knock Out

Zac Fellows knocked out Eric Pratt and Duc Nguyen on the same hand, bringing our field down to 13 players.

Nguyen got all his chips in preflop, and after the flop came {10-Hearts} {2-Spades} {5-Spades}, Pratt bet his last 8000.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and the hands were tabled. Pratt had {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}, Fellows had {J-Hearts} {5-Hearts}, and Nguyen mucked his cards. The river was the {7-Spades} and Fellows raked the pot.

Nut Flush

Markus Golser enters the pot with a raise and gets called in the cut off by Joseph Sanders before the flop comes:

{J-Spades} {5-Clubs} {10-Spades}

Markus checks to Joseph, who bets 6,000, before Markus raises to 12,000. Joseph makes the call before we see the turn:

{9-Spades}

Markus leads out for 12,000. Joseph raises to 24,000. Markus then bumps it up a bit more, 36,000 total, leaving only loose change behind. Joseph makes the call and we head to the river:

{K-Clubs}

Markus throws in his final chips and Joeseph, who only has a little more than Markus, makes the call. Markus tables {A-Spades} {5-Spades} for the nut flush and the pot.

Joseph mucks and looks down at his remaining 1,600 chips.
Markus up to a healthy 167,000 chips now.

Vinny is in the the House

Vinny Vinh has finally shown up! Last year Vinh let his empty seat cash in two events. For 45 minutes he made us wonder if today would be more of the same, but fear not, Vinh fans. The chatter has begun and the chips are flying.

Ice Man Doubles

Teddy 'The Ice Man' Monroe scored a much-needed double-up when he tangled with Markus Golser.

The Ice Man got all his chips in on the and Golser called. The board read {J-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {3-Spades}.

When the hands were tabled Ice Man turned {K-Spades} {J-Clubs} and Golser {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts}, leaving Golser looking for an ace, king, or queen. However, the river did not deliver for Golser, and brought the {2-Clubs} giving the Ice Man life.

Three, Then Two, Then One

Jimmy Shultz calls from early position as does Steven Shkolnik from the cut off before Zac Fellows bumps it up to 12,000 from the big blind. Both players call before we see a flop:

{K-Spades} {5-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}

It's checked to Shkolnik who bets 6,000 before Fellows raises to 12,000. Shultz moves out of the way, leaving Shkolnik to call before the turn:

{J-Diamonds}

Fellows leads out for 12,000 and Shkolnik calls before the river:

{6-Clubs}

Once again, Fellows leads out and Shkolnik calls, but mucks quickly when he sees Fellows's {K-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}.

Fellows is up to 230,000.
Shkolnik is down to around 130,000.

Good Early Call

Jimmy Shultz raises it up from late position and finds a caller from Dun Nguyen in the big blind. The flop comes down

{2-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {6-Spades}

Nguyen checks to Shultz who bets 6,000 before Nguyen raises to 12,000. Shultz calls so we head to the turn.

{9-Clubs} Nguyen leads out for a 12,000 bet that Shultz calls. The river brings...

{Q-Spades} Nguyen leads out once more for 12,000 and Shultz calls. Nguyen is forced to show {K-Spades} {J-Clubs} for king high. Shultz made a good call with {4-Hearts} {4-Clubs} for the early nerve-settling pot.

Lost Another

Steve Foutty didn't last long on day three as Ali Eslami filled up on the river. Eslami had {Q-?} {J-?} and the flop put two jacks on the board. Foutty was all in at this point and running nines filled up Eslami.

One Down

On the first hand of the day Arash Beral, who started the day with only 14,000 in chips, got all in preflop against Ali Elasmi and Markus Golser.

The flop came {K-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {10-Clubs} and a Golser bet forced Eslami out. Golser turned over {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} and Beral {A-Hearts} {6-Hearts}.

The turn and river blanked off the {9-Diamonds} and {6-Diamonds} and Beral was today's first victim.
